So BMW is not making a supercar? Oh Lord, where I'll spend my millions?
Blame you BMW!

It went off the scale.

Come on, Bob, don't try to act all innocent. Your intentions with this thread are pretty clear (and you did quite poorly trying to hide them).

The reason I started this thread was because of Klier, he felt I wasn't right in thinking this car wasn't what the majority wanted so the poll gives everyone the vote to chose either way and vocal their opinion too
I think if you remember our many PMs in the past I stated I wanted BMW to build a hybrid supercar with the emphasis on the word supercar, something to compete with the rest but offer other worldly economy, a REAL statement which said "look what we can do" but what we've got isn't quite that which is why I personally am disappointed. The reason I started this thread was because of Klier, he felt I wasn't right in thinking this car wasn't what the majority wanted so the poll gives everyone the vote to chose either way and vocal their opinion too.
BMW are one of the great engineering companies there is but in my opinion either funding or internal politics has stopped them from completing in the big league where I believe they will do extremely well indeed. The i8 could have been that very car but another missed opportunity has slipped by.
I said that you don't know what I think. Nothing more and nothing less.
This thread is a flame bait, and you're acting all innocent again.
I doubt you know better than BMW what works for them and what doesn't. But hey, if it makes you happy to drop some terms like "lack of funding" or "not in the big league" so be it.

Nice attitude, Bob. Keep it coming while you can.You are quite right I don't know which is why I'm asking the question instead of sitting dumb and accepting everything.

So when when is it about BMW, nobody can give their opinion or share their thoughts, because what BMW does is always right, BMW knows everything better. How is it when it comes to Audi, everybody says Audi is making a huge mistake by copy-pasting design and that customers will get bored? They all know everything better than Audi?
I guess Klier knows better than BMW M, which engine is best for the M3.
Guys, this is GCF, not Youtube, so please discuss, don't just write "X rules". And why always say "who cares, most can't afford this"? In this case maybe then stop posting on Lamborghini and Ferrari forum, because anyway most can't afford those cars?
So, people can create threads under the auspices of supposed "natural curiosity" but in this instance the lack of maturity and insight leads one to once again question the true motive behind raising this topic.
If it had been a four door saloon with a proper boot and able to transport 4 adults with this kind of performance and economy or kept it's current spec of 2 seater coupe but matched the performance of a 458 with the economy of a hothatch then everyone would be saying woow but it's neither.
