Surprising that the more powerful Lambo couldn't pull it back but then Porsche engines usually are underrated.

"Whoever launches the best wins" Pretty much true for these cars considering there is like a 30 hp difference. Roll race was a given, both cars have the same performance minus the responsive jump by HP.
On the track it isn't even a comparison though.

Got lucky enough to drive a Performante and Aventador Roadster back-to-back earlier this year. Both were extended drives which included a stretch of freeway. Performante was amazing - stunningly rapid but still manageable - and quite simply the best performance car I've ever driven. [I've not driven a modern Ferrari or McLaren]
The Aventador on the other hand was horrible; insane engine, insane girth and, worst of all, insane gearbox - the worst I've ever experienced.

The most exciting car I have ever driven. It's so much better than I'd expected; I didn't think it would be that tactile and approachable from the outset. That something so fast and capable isn't out to kill you from the outset is a wonder.
