How to get rid of a hang-over

Last night i came back home seriously drunk and today i had to face the hung-over, caused by all this alcohol. I'm open to any tips, because this was an awful day. I was lying for 6 hours on the sofa unable to do anything... Very annoying!

This saturday, me and my friends have an "anniversary", since it was about this date, in 1997, when we met, so we cellebrate it with a nice all night long alcohol drinking!
We started at our bar, around 11pm with beers, then at about 1am we went to a club for some tequilas and around 3.30am we ended up in what we call here "bouzoukia", were they play/sing greek music and people dance. It's kinda difficult to explain exactly what it is, but judging from the fact that i left home with 500eur and came back with 20, i think we drunk a lot of whiskey! So, i ended up home at a nice 7am, like all my friends, slept up until 12 and from that time on, i have a headache. It's only now (11.30pm) that i feel better...

So any tips to get rid of a hung-over? I tried everything i know, but this time nothing worked!

PS. Just checked it. the car is in the garage, perfectly intact. this means that either i lost the keys or (thank god) i wasn't driving yesterday night :D

I hear you man. My buddy has had 15kegs of brew at his house the past 6days, so its been a rough week for myself.

What I do is chug Gatorade, that stuff fixes me up quick, replaces your electrolytes and such, and force myself to eat some food, something to sop up all that fun juice in the stomach.

For the headache I just use the good ole ibuprofen.

Posted this in another drinking thread:
But there are still some who get hangovers, but there are ways to limit them. Like, not drink too much, drink slow, combine the alcoholic beverages with glasses of water, eat before drinking and when you've decided that you've had enough, drink alot of water before going to bed.

I don't get hangovers:D
Anyway it seems like you had an awsome night out. But as I said, water man;) They tested it on Brainiac as well, it was the best cure out of the ones they tested. The dude barely had a hangover at all while he regularly had a pretty bad one. They also took a headache pill with the water before going to bed.

Re: How to get rid of a hung-over

thanks guys, but i already know these tips, and Zonda, yes, not drinking is the best way to avoid a hung-over.

But this time, it was ment that we would come back home completely drunk. I mean completely...

Re: How to get rid of a hung-over

What Zonda meant is that you should drink lots of water between alcoholic drinks and before going to bed after drinking to prevent hangover.

When you already have a hangover, the only thing to do is suffer!

before i leave home for a night of partying i place a post it note on the fridge telling myself to drink water. when i come home from partying i will usually drink about a litre and half of water. that usually keeps the hang over away the next day.

should probably stay away from diuretics like coffee when you wake up. i used to drink lots of gatorade but i found out that stuff is really bad for your teeth. water is probably best.

Yeah ^ all good, the water tip is a good one I keep in mind, especially when I have a rugby match the next morning.

Also remember the Golden Rule; Beer before liquor and never been sicker, Liquor before beer and you're in the clear. But I am sure you've heard that before.
