Why the alternator didn't work during the first two or three minutes?

It possibly took it some time for the bushes to adapt to the area they are touching in order to form a perfect contact. Or the voltage was to low at the beginning for the voltage regulator to function properly.

I removed the faulty voltage regulator and found someone who changed the brushes of my original voltage regulator.

I fitted my voltage regulator with new brushes on the car and put everything back...

On some cars is needed after starting the engine to rise the rpms above app 1200 for a moment so that the voltage regulator to let the alternator charge the battery, otherwise it doesn't switch on
