Rimac Automobili [Hot!] Rimac Nevera

Rimac Automobili is a Croatian automotive manufacturer headquartered in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia, that develops and produces electric sports cars, drivetrains, and battery systems. The company was founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac. Official website: Rimac Automobili
I'm not sure it can beat the AMG One. But if it gets close that's more than you can ask for! Incredible.
Being able to do 1–2 laps around the Nürburgring without a significant drop in battery performance was one of their development targets. However, the limiting factor, as Mate himself has said a while ago, is tyres. 2300 kg (plus downforce) and 1900 hp torturing those things for over 20 km is a lot. I doubt a set of Cup 2 Rs would get even close to lasting a full lap flat out without dropping off significantly. That being said, I would love to see the Nevera driving around the Nordschleife in anger. And it might still achieve an impressive lap time for a luxury GT sports car, even before considering that it is electric, too.

Oh I know, I mean in decades of following- on and off, I got "married"- supercars I've never seen anything like what the Nevera achieved in ONE day? 23 World Records? They're are manufacture's that don't perhaps half that much in their existences!

But moving to your point, if the Rimac can match the Porsche 918 time, for me that will be the first marker. Let's see what transpires!

It can break the record based on simulation. Let’s see reality.

The acceleration data was simulation too. He smashed them.:)

I don't think people realize what the hell has just occurred, - I still will not look at the data, yet.

Because the Bugatti Chiron replacement will struggle to get anywhere near. Also Bugatti to my knowledge has zero lap times, too.

So my analysis of this cars speed time and distances starts. I'll apologise now as I can really get into all aspects of it.

But in the acceleration records video the km/h readings exceeded 400km/h and went to briefly 413km/h before braking ensued! That's a bit unnecessary!

Well, the acceleration records are a lot of bullshit, aren't they.

The car already was the fastest accelerating thing around, there is no need to invent new crap like 0-xxx km/h with rollout just to make it look even faster. It's already dumb when Americans do it with their mph acceleration times, but at least - since all the major outlets there measure it like that - there is something to compare to, so it makes some sense. For metric times where nobody uses rollout, that's literally just randomly removing some time from your measurement to make it look better. They might as well have used 100ft rollout for all the sense that makes. Then, to top it off, they are very careful to not mention the fact that they are using rollout on any of the promotional materials. You can spot it on the Dewesoft and Racelogic "reports", but completely absent from the Rimac images and main video.

I am also not sure on what surface and with what tire magic these times were achieved, but they seem to be completely non-representative of real world results you might expect from the car. What they got here for 0-100km/h is 0.2s faster than what Drag Times got on a prepped surface and about 0.3s faster than what Carwow got on normal surface. The 100-200km/h time is also 0.4s faster than what AutomannTV recently got and 0.3s faster than what Drag Times got on prepped surface. So even taking roll-out out of the equation, the times are still pretty questionable.

As for a Nurburgring time, with PS4Ss, I thought it might, barely, go under 7 min for a full lap. If they use Cup 2 Rs it's hard to say because the tire degradation might be quite extreme, but maybe under 6:50 could be achievable. I don't see any way they get close to 6:35, so there is not gonna be a new overall production record, but a production electric car record is pretty much a done deal.

All that speed and it still looks like a car thrown together by Barry and his son in a lockup under a railway arch. Pinninfarina proved a decent looking car could be built using the Nevera parts bin.
