I recommend you to not get heated up about somebody's opinion and profile picture on the internet next time, that'll make you look smarter :) People aren't here for drama but to actually get informations about the main topic, the W1, so I'll leave it at that. Have a good day.

These do look like early renders, I think? There is very clearly written P18 on the seat badge, I doubt they'd keep this badge for the production version. My point is that what we're seeing might
be different from what we'll see tomorrow. We'll see what happens with time when it grows on us anyways.

It's a early render from Factory.

Front looks and profile looks terrible. (Rehash of 720S and Elva)
The rest, especially the rear is pretty epic and futuristic. Looking forward to tomorrow.

If this is the real deal, it’s a terrible design. Some sophistication remains in the rear end, but the rest looks like a generic super car from a videogame.

McLaren is back to 2008. It has gained some identity with the P1. But this has reverted it all.

You guys are so funny. Bitch and complain that all Mclaren's look the same, then McLaren changes the way it looks, and now it apparently looks either generic, designed by AI, or looks like 4 different cars from other manufacturers. Maybe wait till you see the actual images and videos before making judgement. And if you still don't like it, it's not a big deal, none of you can afford one, and probably will never see one in real life.

I agree. It's either evolutionary or revolutionary and they'll get slated either way. It's an apparently new engine design too.

It was similar when the Pagani Utopia dropped you can go back and read the pages.

Because I'm telling you all now the New Ferrari will, well watch and see.

As for the W1 I'm sure with the right specifications she'll stand up to ANY scrutiny. Sold out anyway I hear.

These leaks seem unrelated to the teaser McLaren shared yesterday.

Especially if you look at the fog lights, this vehicle has nothing to do with yesterday's post. There are P18 logos inside the car. Probably one of the patented designs. I think we will see a different design tomorrow.

I gotta say, the aero on this car isn't quite what I was expecting. The first article describing the car talked about floating fenders. I don't know about you, but I don't really see them here. With this design, it could very well be one of the Super Series models. The rest of it does check out, including the full width diffuser, air intakes and eye socket headlights. The only part which remains to be seen is the active splitter.

The rear wing is going to be W1's showpiece. Same as it was on P1, but now with added theatrics. Look at how it cuts into the bodywork and slots in almost horizontally instead of going straight up. That's why the wing mechanism is exposed rather than being covered by mesh, like the rest of the rear end.

my guess is that the wing will extend diagonally out of the back

I'll reserve judgment until we see pics of the actual car. Right now, I am not impressed. Official or not, these pics look like renders and rather two-dimensional, so we may not readily see some lovely details. Also, if the P1 and 720S are any indicators, I may not be initially wowed, but may very well be later as I now consider the 720S an icon of its era of super/hypercars.

While I agree that new car designs generally get a bad reaction from the public when being released, there are exceptions to this. For instance, Aston's new line up has received outstanding praise for its design and the new Turbillon has also received overwhelmingly good initial reactions.

To me, this leaked render lacks all of the P1s elegance in its design. The P1 has outstanding line flow that still looks as it was released 3 weeks ago to date. The W1 design identity doesn't remind me of Mclaren at all but the rear end. Mind you, I don't consider the Senna to be beautiful but rather a track based design philosophy. The P1 managed to combine both.

In general, why is every sportscar manufacturer pushing for these slim almost rectangular looking headlights? They lack elegance in my opinion and make them look so generic and identical compared to older generations...

Yall can't possibly tell me the first 4 images convey more emotions?

Make headlights sexy again!! 🗣🗣

This is exactly the problem with all car manufacturers. Split thin headlights needs to go and aren't talked enough as a plague upon car industry. Cars are becoming very generic with 3 suppliers delivering the same crap to everyone.

In fact there are brands so lazy they just reuse them across multiple models (cost reductions be damned and same with the minimal to none aero gains). The same applies between 720S&Senna, Speedtail&Elva.
