296 [2021-] [Hot!] Ferrari 296 GTB - New V6 Hybrid Supercar for 2022

The Ferrari 296 (Type F171) is a two-seater, offered as a GTB coupe and a GTS folding hard-top convertible. It is a plug-in hybrid with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and its powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 120-degree bank angle V6, with an electric drive fitted in between the engine and gearbox. The 296 can be driven in electric-only mode for short distances, to comply with use in urban zero-emission zones.
Interior is where I'm going more carbon heavy.

I am an absolute sucker for Daytona seats, and I am very much digging the contrast inserts. Classy interior, indeed.

BTW, have you got any seat time in Ferrari's new age interior?

@ranjitsundaramurthy

I remember him from last year. He did some exceptionally quick runs on the street in the Ferrari SF90!

Not surprised about the Ferrari 296GTB. She's a rocket.

Thanks.🙂

0-100= 3.16 seconds
0-200= 7.64 seconds
0-300= 18.72 seconds

100-200= 4.48 seconds
200-300= 11.08 seconds

Anything after 300km/h very obviously ignore. It's coasting down.

That's rapid. It'll certainly get quicker again.:)

I actually talked to this owner. I guess the conditions where he tests are poor for initial traction. In his words he’s never had a car break 3.0 to 60 mph.

Few comments. With better traction off the line you’ll see better ETs but slightly lower trap speeds. I think 296 is capable of 2.8 seconds to 60 and will run the 1/4 mile at 9.9 seconds trapping 145 mph. I’ll be testing mine but a ways to go unfortunately before it arrives. 175 mph in the standing half mile is hypercar stuff. I think 2.9/7.4/18.5 for 100/200/300 kph is where I’m expecting to see my car run based upon the data I’m seeing so far, albeit limited.

I do think Kmaaq has the comfort seats, so not sure what weight savings are available with my bucket seats but I’ll weigh my car too at the tracks scale. My 765 weighed 3040 pounds with a half tank of fuel on the scales.

I'm particurlary taken, very, with this package. I'm sure you'll agree!
I'm more taken with the presenter, but gorgeous car indeed. Now, having the car and taking her out to dinner? I would be "particularly taken" by that proposition

I didn't implicitly state the car. And I've been a fan of both for very many months!🙂
