Mistral [Hot!] Bugatti W16 Mistral

The Bugatti Mistral, also called the Bugatti W16 Mistral, is a mid-engine two-seater sports car manufactured in Molsheim, France, by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. Revealed on 19 August 2022, the Mistral is the fastest roadster in the world with a top speed achievement of 453.91 km/h (282 mph) in November 2024. All 99 units were pre-sold at a price of €5 million. The Mistral is not a cabriolet version of the Bugatti Chiron but rather a separate roadster model for Bugatti that marks the last vehicle to use the W16 engine that was introduced with the Bugatti Veyron in 2005.
The choice of sports cars for the super rich is absolutely huge compared to 20 years ago. There are so many new names appearing who are trying to get in on the pockets of the rich dudes and babes.

The Devil 16 is mind blowing in design compared to almost everything else. It is definitely one of the most "evil" looking cars out there.

Is that a 1986 Mercedes W124 wiper blade in the center of the windscreen? Lol

99 already sold.

99 x €5,000,000 = 495 million + another 25 million in options.

= €520,000,000

Mad. Kill the Jetta and Passat and produce more Bugattis.
But then you have to remember that they probably spent around €200,000,000 in re-engineering Chiron so it can be roofless and have a new bodywork. Then you have marketing. Finding and convincing those 99 customers took probably some €€€ too.

Because there is no way in hell, I would buy another Bugatti Chiron body-kit unless they treated me with nice food and hookers prior.

True. They had to re-engineer them tub, radiators and aero to ensure that it is safely capable of 270mph. It’s a functional hyper car, not a SEMA showcar that will fall apart if driven at 8/10ths.

Plus you also get GT4RS style air intakes by your head for woosh sound.

Yeah those intake sounds are going to be radical.

Yeah right :ROFLMAO:
All they had to do is send out an e-mail memo with the text to be very quick or it'll be gone.

You wouldn't, and many others will and do so.

A dude here in Holland has 3 Veyrons, a Chiron and now a confirmed Mistral on order (Perridon).

The 3/4 view is nice, the profile however is fat. Too much bulk for a two-seat open-top.
Overall I don`t find this appealing for the overly inflated price tag.

Give me a Ferrari 296 GTS any day of the week before this.

The Devel logo is unforgivable.

This video is quite interesting. Mate makes it sound like the Chiron replacement is almost ready, likely debuting next year.

And that’s before options. Probably dropping $150mm to their bottom line.

The Bugatti Mistral when it rains!

LOL!

I'm sure the factory solution is far more elegant! It's Bugatti afterall.

The Bugatti Chiron replacement cannot debut just yet as 100 Mistrals need production and the final 40 track only Bolides in 2024 also need to be finished. In fact yesterday I read in Autocar that the new hybrid Bugatti Chiron replacement is, unfortunately, not expected until 2027. Perhaps they are wrong.

It will take as long as it will take to get the car to a state of perfection. It will need to smoke the electrified Aventador successor left right and Chiron whilst being as reliable as a Golf.

BIG challenge!

It is. But, they still haven't stated where the internal combustion engine is being sourced from. I thought perhaps the new Lamborghini V12. But I doubt it now. The smart money is Porsche.

I think for me, the W16'S are far too iconic to be replaced and they'll be so in Bugatti Chiron form probably forever, for me. Just as the McLaren F1 is.

Getting Porsche involved would introduce too much red tape for Matte Rimac.

He has gained a fair share of experience with combustion engines from producing battery packs for customer cars. Before Bugatti approached him, he will likely already have wet dreams about a “sky is the limit”-hybrid. I don’t think anything but a bespoke engine will be fit for purpose.

I doubt they had any problems finding 99 owners. They’re all sold out before the public knew anything about the vehicle.

"Achim concludes: “The W16 Mistral is a special moment in the history of Bugatti; the kind of car that will be seen on the lawns of top Concours d’Elegance events for decades or even centuries. We created a timeless interior for this car, including the introduction of an intricate woven leather used on newly designed door panels, meticulously tested and produced to Bugatti quality standards. And in a nod to the W16 Mistral’s illustrious forebears, like the Type 41 Royale, the gear shifter – machined from a solid block of aluminum – features a touch of wood and an amber insert with Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous ‘dancing elephant’ sculpture locked within.”

Only 99 examples of the W16 Mistral will be built, priced at 5 million euros net, with deliveries due to begin in 2024. The entire production run of W16 Mistral is already sold out."

Adapted. Continues in the link.

Achim is right. It's a landmark Bugatti.🙂
