Hi all,
Just a quick intro. Absolute petrolhead and car geek(freak). Love German muscle cars. Have the C63S Coupe Edition 1, SL55 AMG, Porsche 718 and a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Some might say that’s too many but it is what it is. Hope to share my journey with you folks.

Welcome @IndiVES55

You have a breathtaking collection of cars. Please post some experiences/pics. And just start posting in general, the more people here the better. Anything car related is welcome, but of course we're also open for other highlights, including politics and Covid19! So much fun there.

This is nothing to do with me.

I was about to make some joke about this, but it looks like I'm too late.

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to beat me. You'd have to stay up all night, in fact.

Quick question, Klier, as you live in Den Haag. My wife and I are driving there this afternoon to spend the night in a hotel (just to see a bit of the country as she has seen very little), and I was in Den Haag on Tuesday evening and I thought it was a lovely place. Where should we go for the a good selection of restaurants? A relaxed place with a nice terrace that would be good, suitable for a baby and a toddler who's almost two. Doesn't have to be a specific restaurant, but what street or square is the best to focus our search on? Looking for somewhere in a pretty location. We're staying near the Binnenhof, but we can walk anywhere.

Thanks.

Welcome.

The place you could go is literally called 'The Square', which is right next to the Binnenhof. Also a good place to go to is a street called Noordeinde (Northend) with lots of outdoor dining in their backyards. This street has the royal working palace in it and is close to where you stay.
Overall there's many, many places to go to here for dinner. You can also go to Scheveningen, which is the harbour next to the sea with lots of excellent seafood. A tram from the center is cheap and is only like 15 mins. The beach is lovely for the kid.

I can also recommend something specific if you have requests.

Ah yes, I walked down Noordeinde on Tuesday night. It is indeed right by our hotel. The palace must be the lovely building I walked past. And the square looks just like a place in Maastricht we like to go to. Looks perfect. We'll focus our search around there.

We plan to go to Scheveningen on Saturday for a few hours. No doubt it will be very busy.

Thanks for your help.

Overall that whole area is very nice to go out. Have fun!
