The exterior and interior design of the 2022 Genesis GV70 has been revealed before the SUV’s official launch later this year.

Genesis has employed its ‘Athletic Elegance’ design philosophy when creating the GV70. As such, the front end includes the brand’s Crest Grille while also sporting similar Quad Lamps to mimic those of other new Genesis models like the G70, G80, G90, and GV80.

Viewed from the side, the GV70 includes a ‘Parabolic Line’ that begins at the top of the headlights and runs down the side of the SUV. The Coupe-like roofline is also quite striking and there are angular windows positioned directly behind the sloping C-pillars.

While Genesis did not release any technical information at this stage, we know that it utilizes the same platform as the G70 and thus should offer standard rear wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive (depending on the market).

The entry-level model will have a turbocharged four-cylinder, though at this point, it’s still unsure if it will be the company’s familiar 249 hp 2.0-liter or (most likely) the newer 2.5-liter that’s good for 300 hp. The Sport is expected to offer either the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with around 365 hp or the slightly bigger 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing about 375 hp.

Other markets outside North America, including South Korea, may also get a 2.2-liter turbodiesel pumping out 199 hp (149 kW / 202 PS) and 376 lb-ft (441 Nm) of torque.

Infinti is all but dead at this point. I really don't expect them to make it. Lexus has a golden reputation for quality, reliability and durability and other things that will carry them for a while longer.

It's so sporty/athletic. It just says drive me. This works for them. Look for this to be their bestseller here in the U.S. once production catches up.

I can't believe I like it this much lol. It is the new Infiniti FX that Infiniti never built.

Exactly what I thought as soon as I saw it

Looks like a girls suv IMO. Way too dolled up with that glamorized interior.
Your daughter would enjoy this if she is of age.

Their interiors as of late design-wise are quite attractive. I haven't sat in one to feel the quality, but design-wise they could be the best in the business.

Exterior - I'm in two minds. Biggest issue for me is the rump with its busy intersection of incongruent lines and chrome detailing. Overall, attractive though.
Interior - That ellipsoid motif spanning over half the dash is the kicker for me. It's a gloriously realised design element. One of the most visually appealing interiors I've seen in a long time.

I gather Genesis is LHD only?

This week I have awoke up the the GV70. It’s a stunning car from every angle. Inside and out. Put a Bentley or Maserati badge on it and no one will bat an eye-lid.

There doesn‘t appear to be a catch for buying one over an X3, Q5 or GLC. It has good line up of engine, modern tech, performance and ride comfort to match. If I was in the market for an SUV, I would strongly consider this car.
