Forbes ranks BMW as the world's most powerful car brand
Forbes lists BMW as the most powerful car brand in the world, ahead of Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Honda.
BMW is holding on to ninth place on the list, ahead of Cisco but behind General Electric. The next automotive brand is Toyota on 14th place, followed by Mercedes-Benz on 16th and Honda on 19th place. If we look down the list, we find Audi on the 32nd spot, Volkswagen on 45th and Ford on 59th position. Towards the bottom of the list are Hyundai (71), Nissan (76) and Lexus (87).
Forbes puts Apple in the lead, ahead of Microsoft, Coca-Cola and IBM. On fifth place is Google, followed closely by Intel, McDonald's and General Electric. Yahoo is almost at the bottom, holding on to the 96th position.

Good for BMW. I only wish they come up with better designs as they did design their cars pre Bangle era. I am a fan of BMW designs from early 1970s to the end of 1990s.

if you like older bmw designs, you should love 5er and 6er designs too :)
I like the new BMW designs except the new 3 series that I really find unattractive up front, but they all are far better than the Bangle era cars. However, like cars from rival brands such as Mercedes, the new BMW cars look a bit ordinary compared to their predeccessors. Maybe its the amount of plastic outside on the car now which makes these new designs quite plain and spartan and not so long lasting even from these prestige manufacturers. IMO among the BMW 5 series designs, the best were the E34 and E28 followed very closely by E39 which had the best BMW interior to date.

Boy, does that makes me feel proud!! :D

BMWs' brand equity is indeed immense. Regardless of whether consumers prefer earlier BMWs' or have an affinity for their newest products. The company appears to be well equipped for the future. There is no need to be concerned about the companys' future. In saying this, I am quite sure that the VW-Group will be a source of some headaches for the Munich company. The jury is still out on Daimler-Benz as the next 3-4 years will be extremely critical.
