X6 First BMW F16 X6 drive reviews.

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof).

With excellent attention to detail and improved practicality, there's no reason why this new second-generation X6 shouldn't be just as successful as the first

Essentially a heavily refreshed version of the old model, the 2015 BMW X6 is designed to offer more of the same for the 250,000 buyers worldwide the model line has found over the past seven years. Outside, the fastback SUV gets the latest evolution of BMW's design language, which somehow completes the impossible task of making the X6 more garish than before. The bigger and bolder new X-inspired nose helps make the new X6 more aerodynamic than before with its coefficient of drag dropping from 0.34 to 0.32 cd, thanks to BMW's Air Breather and Air Curtain technology, which help to route clean air down the sides of the X6 to make it easier for the big bruiser to cut through the air. Other visual changes include an extended rear greenhouse that gives the X6 a more dynamic look than before while giving the rear seats enough room for full-size adults, and a lower, more aggressive rear deckled.

BMW X6: Don't believe the hype

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/bmw/x6/88972/new-bmw-x6-m50d-2014-review
Revamp ensures new BMW X6 is a more captivating all-round package than ever, but will it emulate its predecessor’s success?

Verdict
If you thought the previous BMW X6 was vulgar, then the new version isn’t likely to change your mind. BMW has worked hard to improve its practicality, fuel consumption and dynamics, but while the X6 is more capable than ever, it still lacks any real excitement from behind the wheel – making it more of a status symbol than a true driver’s car.

^I'm sorry but the video was already posted by EnI on Sunday in the official X6 thread.

LOL guys. This is a thread about 'first drives' so even if its been posted in a different thread , it belong here too.

The line-up of engines available from the December 2014 launch of the new BMW X6 (fuel consumption combined: 9.7 – 6.0 l/100 km [29.1 – 47.1 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 225 – 157 g/km) consists of the latest-generation V8 developing 330 kW/450 hp for the BMW X6 xDrive50i, a 190 kW/258 hp six-cylinder in-line diesel engine for the BMW X6 xDrive30d and another straight-six diesel with three turbochargers and 280 kW/381 hp in the BMW X6 M50d.

Ensuring that the noticeably increased performance of the new BMW X6 is accompanied by an up to 22 per cent reduction in average fuel consumption are BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the standard-fitted eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission, extensive BMW EfficientDynamics technology, weight-saving optimisations and enhanced aerodynamics.

In spring 2015 the BMW X6 xDrive35i (225 kW/306 hp) and BMW X6 xDrive40d (230 kW/313 hp) will be added to the model range.

The standard – and permanently active – intelligent all-wheel-drive system BMW xDrive optimises traction, directional stability and cornering dynamics, as the situation requires. For improved dynamics, xDrive can optionally link up with adaptive suspension packages, including Dynamic Performance Control.

The interior looks very nice a big uplift on the current X6 but I am still not sold on the exterior looks well in pictures at least it doesn't look as pleasing on the eye as the previous version (which looks fantastic after the facelift). That dropping line after the door looks really odd.

The engines as usual are excellent, Bravo BMW!

Yeah that one is fantastic. Only thing I don't really like is the color....and the wheels are too small, this car needs 22"

Some recent reviews / presentations (in Italian, Russian & Moldovian) ... Nice videos of F16 X6 though ...
