If they are expelled, that means they won't be racing. I'll wait to see if the expulsion is confirmed. Ferrari will also realize that TOUI has nothing to lose.

It makes no sense to slap a huge penalty on the team and leave drivers' points untouched. If the team earned its WCC using another team's data, the drivers also earned their points that way.

You believe what you want to believe, but I never once said there was a Ferrari part. I do think that TOUI used the data to set up their own cars and adapt them to the "new" tyres.

If you have the drawings and the underlying design philosophy, you can have different part suppliers achieve the same results through a different probably more elegant means.
Furthermore possession of competitors design also affects your design approach and does influence how you design your equivalent components.

The fact of the matter is they were caught with their pants down. Whether they did anything is a different matter, and I would think it will be stupid of them not to have benefited from it.
Think about it, if you were not going to use it, why go through the hassle of getting it- a "no thank" would have solved the problem.
Would you want to be caught with someones wife naked in a room and claim that you never did anything? It will be silly not to have done anything with her considering the potential consequences.

meanwhile, it seems Mac are fined 100 mil, and banned for the rest of the 2007 season.

looks like it's been confirmed. How will Ferrari react to his? The drivers' championship is what people remember and value. I hope they don't let their two drivers get shafted.

What you're talking implies a radical new chassis and severe modifications and even change of suppliers.

That fact of the matter is this happened before, but Ferrari know can't win on the track that's why all the fuss.
And I hope you're not naive/biased enough to belive Ferrari wasn't in such situation on the other side of the fence.

This is F1 that's why, and everyone would have done the same.
In this industry information changes hands, where like this, and/or via staff movement.

Seem like a fair punishment. Thank god the drivers are still allowed to compete. Much better punishment then the one we initially heard.
