F80 Ferrari F80


The Ferrari F80 (Type F250) is a limited production mid-engine, hybrid sports car. Designed and named to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the company, it serves as a successor to the LaFerrari. Production: 2025-2027.
About the V12, my take, as someone who can only fantasize about it, yes I would very much like it with a NA V12. But fact reality is, Ferrari sells other V12 cars and folks buying this will most definitely own 1/more of it. So, it is okay that F80 is about something else - the Lemans connection.
I am sure F40 too got flak in it's time for not having a V12, but now, it is one of the most celebrated of the big 5 (6 now).
Yes, the sound is not deal breaking. The calibre of customer who will own this will have 10-20 out which they will have loud ones.
More should do what 4RS does, quite outside, deafening inside :D. No rules against that. Yet!
The decibel rating of the 4RS is maddening
 
F80, Temerario, SF90, revuelto, W1 and all up and coming super and hyper cars will be quiet. Even the 12Cilidri, a NA 12 cylinder car is quieter than then predecessor.

Cars won't get louder.The EU is banning red lining in neutral, pops and bang engine maps, engine programming that dumps fuel into engine on over runs to cool turbos.

Optional sports exhaust on the RSQ8 is a joke. The cats are just a tiny bit smaller. No backbox modifications. The 992.2 GT3 now had to have 4 cats!

This video makes Shmee sound broke. Yes, a total of 1,000 F80 will be made including aperta and the 3.6m EUR price tag is high. None of the true ballers who have ordered this car will but it with a calculator in hand. 3.6m EUR will be less than what some of them earn every months in passive income.

Paying 4mil for an F80 sound absolutely stupid for most , when you compare it to past hypercars.

Even adjusted for inflation , Enzo , F40 , F1 , and every other, were in the range of 1mil ( adjusted for inflation ) when released.

Now we are speaking of a 4 mil car like it's the norm for a hypercar....

The large production volume along with the price bump is a big enough hint there won't be an F80 Aperta.
Why should there be one? Recency bias from LaFerrari?

Also, open roof isn't a good fit for the strong performance focus and it wouldn't solve the issue of the engine sound being muffled.

Cabrios are easier for big or tall people to get in and out of. The US is Ferraris largest market.

Yes. The price inflation is mad. However isn't that offset by the growing number of millionaires and billionaires who can afford and are willing to buy the car?

The price is crazy but Ferrari owners have spent money in much more reckless ways like €30,000 paint jobs followed by another €4,000 for PPF.
 
Cabrios are easier for big or tall people to get in and out of. The US is Ferraris largest market.
That's a non-issue, with such large door openings.

I think in one of the launch videos it was said the cabin can accommodate up to 1.90 cm tall driver and 185 cm tall passenger. Taller people than that would still struggle with legroom, even if they were content with having their heads sticking out of the car.

Why? Well, that's easy, more money! The same reason AM did the Valkyrie Spider... although it makes even less sense.

Not that I know if they plan to offer one or not... but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

I am curious as to how their sales will be affected now that the F80 carrot stick has been fed to its customers. Maybe the next carrot stick will be a mid engine car with the 12 cilindri V12.

It's an endless loop. They've been fed the F80 carrot stick, but they also want the 296 VS and Icona 4 right? Oo if you purchase the new BEV you might also get the 12 Cilindri VS in 2027, and then it's time for Icona 5 etc. etc.

I don't mind the brutal looks as long as there is a function behind that form. So hopefully the performance is there.

And hey, on the bright side, the only one I can get - the lego one - will look just like the real one!
In recent times, the opposite examples are often noticeable.
