Thanks Ghusheshe. I think white is a great colour for SA. The interior is awesome too. I think I will be happy with this car. I have to be for at least 3 years, I change my cars too often and waste money! They usually last a year, maybe 18 months at a stretch! So I have realised that no car will satisfy me completely..

Short review

Hi guys, I will post better pics once I get a chance to shoot some. Just wanted to post my initial views after 5 days with the car, especially since I wasn't sure if it was the right decision to take the 5er over the E350..

Overall I am extremely pleased with the car. Ride comfort is exceptional, glad I stuck with the standard 18" rims - they look fine too and suit the car. The ACC and Integral Active Steering are worth every penny. Performance is wonderful, something the E350 lacked. The comfort seats are also excellent. I can get a perfect driving position, something I haven't been able to achieve with past BMW's. The car is so well specced and I really believe that although I will lose most of my money on the extras, they are worth it as they take the whole experience to 7er level without the unecessary (in my opinion) size of the 7. I also prefer the design of the 5 to the 7. The only thing that I have been very disappointed with is the Logic 7 sound system. It is better than the standard Hi Fi system in my old 335i, but at this level it simply isn't good enough. The sound in our W204 with Harman Kardon Logic 7 was in a different league, and that car is a segment down from the F10. But then again, BMW were never great at sound on their own.. It's taking a while to trust the reverse camera and it's a pity the front PDC sensors don't activate on their own at low speeds but these are minor niggles, especially the reverse camera, which I'm sure I'll get used to. So to BMW, thank you for creating a machine that is my best yet, but you only score 9/10 thanks to the sound system
