Vs EVO: RS4 vs M3 V8 (including C63 review)

Dude, did you fall and bump your head or something? I'm trying to school you to American likes and dislikes, and the bottom line is, we don't want some bare bones, whack as interior looking like it came straight out of the 1970 , ball bustin ride quality having, M3 CSL! And stop with the Porsche crap, BMW aint porsche Sunny, Bring this one dimensional M3 CSL to the USA and prepare to get your feeling hurt! That sh!t a be sitting there this time next century!

P.S I can only hope Audi and Mercedes don't feel the need to create such a car. If BMW can't make a serious performance car, with top notch creator comforts, then we should stop comparing BMW against Audi and Mercedes imo! Both those companys can accomodate both:usa7uh:

At least you appreciate the CSL in an engineering point of view... no wait nevermind.

That is probably one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in this forum. That's like someone saying "The Lotus Elise is way too one dimensional". :t-crazy2:

Hey good one!:eusa_clap As I said, if you want a get at me over something I said in this thread then it would be wise to send me a private message. But if you want to use this thread to bash on me then feel free to do so, you have support from the man above!

P.S Have a blessed day!:usa7uh:

I think so too.

Lets just hope BMW does a just as good job on the E92 CSL as well. I would love to see options like roll cage and semi-slicks.

that is one of the sexiest interiors ever made..
flawless..

PS
How about this for a discussion?
The M3 has obviously gone more civil than the last generation (not meaning its worse.. its actually faster).. even bmw fans admit that..
Now do you guys belive that the coming CSL..will also be toned down compared to the E46?
I sure as hell do not hope so.. cause then imo it wont be a CSL...
That mystery M car (M6CSL) will give us an indication what the modern take from M is on CSL cars.. looking forward to see that very much..:D

CSL versions were always more hardcore than their counterparts and therefore i don't think they'll go soft or civil with it. I agree with you, Artist, M6 CSL will give us much better picture...:usa7uh: If that will be that mystery car...:eusa_pray

This is a very good point! We can probably learn alot about the upcomming M3 CSL by looking at the M6 CSL.

^yes i agree the CSL are always more aggressive than the normals..lol isnt that kinda the point with the whole thing..
but my question is.. given that the M3 is gone more civil.. will the CSL also ?
wat do you guys think?

PS
M6 CSL MUSt be the mystery car.. icant think of anything else :D

Depends how would you define that civil term...;)

Nope, i don't think so. In fact i'm, sure that with all the technology, expirience and engineering within M division that only improved since the last CSL, the new one will slaughter the old one in every possible way...:t-drive::D

:t-cheers:

^yes i belive so to..
i think they will go nutts to show everyone that the normal car was abit more civil for selling reasons..
and that they can still go super hard core..
i hope not to be let down

I think, again, we should look at how the GT3 has evolved. The 997 GT3 is doubtless more 'civil' than the 996 GT3 mk II which in turn was more 'civil' than the mk I. Some like the mk I better, others do not. But most agree that as a complete package the 997 GT3 is the better vehicle, right? :eusa_thin

I honestly don't think so. BMW has opened up the market for the CSL, so I believe it will be as track orientated as possible. Or else, what's the point?

Almost every car becomes more refined with successive models, development in technology allows this... some call it getting softer and some call it progress. Look at GT3 and even the new GT2. I don't think CSL is going to be an exception to this rule either.

I think this is just the way it is going to be. The new CSL will evolve in the same way the GT3 has done.

That's the truth. I don't think the new CSL will be a back breaker, but it sure as hell will be a record breaker. :D

:D Yes! Lets hope it can beat some of the results of the old CSL. The Nurburgring time will be really hard to beat though - the ring was pure monkey skills for the old one.
