This is it, our biggest performance test ever! Twenty-one cars are put through a rigorous induction programme to find out if they will be allowed to enter our Fast Club. The class of 2006 includes everything from Ascari's mighty (and mightily expensive) KZ1 supercar to Renault's diminutive Clio Trophy hot hatch hero. Records fall and reputations are made.

21 cars were put through 3 tests at Millbrook, the 1st was a 0-100-0mph, the next was trying to hit the car's Vmax until the driver lost their nerve, and the final test was a lap around Bedford Autodrome's west circuit.

The Corvette is definitely proving itself, now only if they had a more modern interior. Regardless, hats off to GM's engineering dept.

Nice choice of cars...Great read and pics, thanks Just_me. I remember when they tested Marcos on Top Gear, the car is mad!!!
 
RS4 is faster to 60mph than the M6, the M6 is faster around the track than RS4. The Gallardo did well us usually. The Z06 impress me again. 0-100-0mph the Z06 almost the fastest and Z06 also did well around the track but beaten by the Gallardo. Z06 simply offer a lot of performance for the money. :usa7uh:
 
no surprise with Ascari, but eh Corvette is the real winner in my book.... Amazing car...
 
I have this issue in my possesion as well. The article on the Hartge 3er was pretty interesting, just shows you how great the E90 M3 will be. It was also nice to see the M roadster win out over the Boxster S in the roadster shoot out.
As for the actual "fast club 2006" article, i found it to be rather pointless since none of the info shared will do anything for me in the real world, except on the lonely desert desserted highways and the empty highways in the middle of the night.Very interesting none the less.
 
theygot pretty lousy acceleration figures I still would like to see the actual article... The Carrera S and the M6 are stunningly neck-to-neck in all areas of comparison.
