Vs EVO: M3 E90 vs C63 Performance Package

Vehicle comparisons, matchups, debates, performance battles, and head-to-head discussions.
C63 for me anyhow, never was concerned about laptimes, Ive said this tons of times and ill say it again, the C63AMG model just like the other recent AMG models since 03 have more than enough track capability, and it just keeps getting better and more hardcore..Moreover, the C63 IMO looks tons better than the M3 and sportier for the first time ....

However, I give credit to the M3's brutal track performance, I just think the C63 covers that part well enough, with lots more to it than just that ....;)

Long live the king :D.

Great to see the M3 win this again. I wasn't expecting anyting less!

BTW, there are MUCH cheaper cars that drift MUCH better than the C63, some of you are now trying to say the C63 is made for powerslides and the M3 is not....LMAO....

I driven both C63 and E63. After driving both I dont understand how you can still keep your E63 when the mighty C63 is around ;)
C63 owns E63 :D :D

LoL, I guess i havent been around here as much, well I returned the E just a month ago, (lease was over), first car that lasts with me till return day ..lol, and I ordered a C63 2 months ago, ill be getting it in november, they are sold out and very hard to get a hold of, Palladium silver/black interior ...

I must say, out of all the cars ive owned, the E63 was the best and most reliable, 0 problems, absolutely zero, I loved the power, agility and comfort... Ill miss it for sure...I know the C will be a thriller, cant wait ...:D

Gee thanks , lol thats funny I just thought about the signature as I was getting to your post ...

Ive gone black on my last 3 cars, I love it, I was just thinking black is too soon for such a fresh new car, I think palladium does the C63 much more justice for now ...;)

Check the 5th gear and Top gear videos. The C63 is a handful and very untidy even in the hands of seasoned drivers like Tiff and Stig, I doubt it will do any better in the hands of a normal driver. The only performance criteria that I can imagine that is more accessible in the C63 than M3 is straight line acceleration.

I don't know if you have watched the C63 tracktest I posted in the video section the other day, but P. Simon didn't seem to have many problems controlling the car, in fact it was slightly faster than the M3 E90.

I think it might well be just that. A normal driver never push the car hard enough to discover the faults evident under pressure.

In amost every test this far the M3 is the faster (not in a straight line) and the sharper car of the two. This test is not odd in any way.

This was expected from evo..who are most likely the most sporty mag out there..
Their reviewers know how to drive
The M3 fits them like a glove:D

Besides that its like others have said, both cars are fast enough..
I pick the C63 cause it looks, sounds and delivers in a more thrilling way..

congrats ALI for the new c63 in november.

for me its a c63 i drove the car and it is incredible and amazing car it surpass all my expectations i agree with just me the c63 owns the e63.

i would take a white c63 with full black int but my family dont allow me to buy amg cars anymore..

i think the m3 and c63 are both great cars and its just the choice off which you prefer i no 3 people who either were bmw or m3 fans and either sold the m3 and bought a c63 or chose the c63.

i feel the c63 is great great car ......those who can choose between the 2 are lucky ....

Yep that's true the C63 just has too much torque... . I saw a test on top gear that proved that the handling of the C63 was very different than that of the M3. The C63 was slower on the track because it simply didn't accelerate out of the turns. You had to wait till the car was fully aligned before hitting the throttle, or you were in trouble. In a drag race the C63 was faster than the M3. It probably is true that once you get the M3 over the limit it will be hard to restore the situation, but you probably will have youor eye balls popping out before it does :D
Anyway both cars are great and the decision to like one or the other better is purely a matter of personal taste IMO.

Looking at all the test videos and reviews we have seen I say it is the other way around with the C63 being the difficult car to handle at the limit and M3 being the more easily exploited. Of course it is normal the the AMG engineer thinks otherwise. And yes, the C63's chassis is inferior. AMG might or might not have deliberately made it that way, I have no clue but if it can't handle as well and is not as comfortable - that makes it inferior.

Lol:D,i can count on u for a more blazing discussion between these two:D

Well sunny i'm sure u saw ur fair share of vids of these two and in almost every review they all said that the M3 is just inert and feels like a normal 3er till u rev it above at least 5500 RPM which is not so fun on daily and normal roads and only to be exploit at track while the C63 is the exact opposite which of course makes it the the more fun to drive car,but of course everything is relative;)

I disagree very much here. You dont need track to appreciate M3 more than C63. Its just wrong Tarek. You obvious haven't driven the new M3. The way you speak everyone should buy a Mercedes since Bmw , Porsche, ferrari etc are worthless on the streets. Driving a car is much more than just a big engine.

EDIT: I decided to be nice

Really? Weird, I haven't seen anything suggesting the M3 wouldn't feel special compared to the regular 3er in normal driving or that it couldn't be enjoyed anywhere else than on a track. :eusa_thin

lol, Anytime. :D

I don't know where you got the 5500 rpm from. The evo test says the car comes alive above 2000. And actually unlike other M engines, the S65 has a very flat torque curve above 2500 rpm.

No unexpected. Personally I think the M3 is for me, probably handles like I want a car too handle too plus I prefer it's styling as well, much more coherent. The C63 front end is a tad to busy.

Everybody should pick a 335i over a M3 since Tarek claim the M3 is no different from a regular 3-series

Tarek probably read one review (and probably from one of the first tests with the M3 when every single autoreview complained on the M3, including me) claiming this is the case then he automatically think all other reviews think the same. And its not the first time he use the word "every" when he tries to defend the C63. ;)
