6th place for M135i, not bad. Now , where is the real 1M.
For the price you pay to get a Pagani, being number one is a must.

Surprised that, the Audi RS4 Avant is not even that article. In Autocar test the RS4 Avant get nice laptime.

That previous winners info says it all: 8 wins for the 911 in the past 14 years:cool: Thank's Soup(y)

What a great read up, EVO never disappoint. I've noticed the Huayra has a new front spoiler... IMO sharps up a little the ugly mouth, I hope they keep improving on the design, as they did to the Zonda.

No surprise that the Huayra came up on top, however I didn't really expect to see the Exige sharing the top spot. How did the Mclaren end up 4th?

I'm sick to death of what EVO has become. Notice that Needell has a say in the track evaluation but then is excluded from the final score reckonings. Metcalfe - the money behind EVO - and Trott vote the Huayra first but none of the serial testers place it in top spot.

And the Lotus? Really? As brilliant as it is to drive should it even be in the contest with Lotus practically on the verge of extinction? My point is: two cars occupy the top spot represent the smallest possible sample of availability and consumer uptake; heck, Ferraris are like Golfs in comparison.

That the Huayra can put its masses of power down so adroitly is admirable. Its enormous price tag, ear-piercing soundtrack and lack of drivetrain refinement can't possibly make it an EVO Car of the Year. I honestly feel that HM and NT are kissing Pagani's bum.

The winner ought to be the Boxster S. Not exactly a people's car but one that not only more completely resolved than either of the podium-sitters but eminently more attainable too.

I haven't read the whole article but what's the excuse - if any - for the F12berlinetta not being there? There's your 2012 ECotY right there.

^I take the view that the Boxster S IS the real winner here because its within the reach of mere mortals, its as practical and every day is usable as a two seater sportscar can get and yet it's right up there with a super car approaching a million and with Lotus who arguable make the finest most connected sports cars on the planet.

For me no car fulfills the title better than the Boxster.

Hey guys, this is just a review with the opinions of some well known automotive journalists. And when the cars are all so different there cannot come out any objective result. Our opinions are just as valid as theirs. I for my part would say the GT86 was left so far behind, because it lacks power for this track. But I just don't know what is there so amazing about the Exige V6. I does not look good, I don't like its layout (MR-T), neither lightweight not heavyweight, not cheap nor exotic. Let Lotus just bring up the new Epsrit and a new Elise. That is all what Lotus needs.
What I'd put on first place would be something among the Huayra, MP4-12C, and Boxster S.
However I'd suspect it is easy to guess who is going to be the winner: always a 911, then when a new Pagani comes, then when a new japanese comes and when a new Lotus comes. No Ferrari, no Mercedes, no BMW, no Audi, no other Porsche that is not a 911. Where are the M3 CSL, Carrera GT? Also suprised no LFA, I guess Porsche paid that it must have been the GT3 RS 4.0.

Business, Business, not truth.

For me no car fulfills the title better than the Boxster.

Same for me, until the new Cayman comes. Good thing about it is that this time it will look good (like Audi TT ;)).
