Errant Passat driver almost knocked me down today

I just came back with my dad from pumping petrol, and I felt I just had to share this harrowing experience with you guys.

My dad was driving into the station and I saw this white Passat, and I rather admired it.

I went into the shop and browse through some mags, before coming out and walking to the car after the pumping was finished.

Then I saw this white Passat driver, who violently put his gearstick into drive (I think he must have damaged it) and shaked the whole car. Once on drive, he floored out of the pumping booth, the tires screeched and almost hit me and another woman. he swerved to the right and floored it again out of the petrol station, and braking hard before reaching the main road. The tires slipped. He then turned out and away he was... The whole petrol kiosk was staring at him and was stunned for a few moments.

He was with a fully loaded car, grandma included.

I was quite embarrassed then, to be a VW enthusiast, seeing another fellow veeduber disgracing the marque.

I do hope he has reasons for his terrible behaviour, but almost nothing can justify his driving...

I think he was in a foul mood, but he shouldn't have done what he did... I still can remember his number plate.

This kind of stupid behaviour can be seen everyday in every part of the world. Personally, I think here in California, people are just more stupid than in other places. 2 days ago I was ran off the road and almost flipped my car because this idiot in the next lane decided to change his lane when I was right next to him. I was in the exit lane and had to swerve my car to avoid a big collision but doing that I caught some gravel and my car started to oversteer but quick-action allowed me to catch my car and avoid a little bump that was coming up...My car would've flipped had I hit the bump sideways!

I think he hurried away so quickly to escape paying for his petrol... It all make sense now. I think this only happens in Singapore (it's pretty common BTW).

Thanks...I'm glad I was able to catch my car before I fully went sideways.

MikeJ...here in US we have cameras at our Gas stations too, but the police is too lazy to do anything about it if you give them the tape.
