Edmunds First Drive: 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe - 335i got owned!

Re: Edmunds First Drive: 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe

The Infiniti have a LSD (diff) and this is something the 335i miss.
Advantage to the G37

Reading the review it sounds to me the G37 is a little bit too much trackoriented. I wonder how the car is to drive for everyday basis and outside the track. Is the car comfortable and the suspension too stiff?
For now, 335i seem to be the better allrounder, future comparions will tell us if its true or not.

Way to early to tell anything yet. The new G for all its performance has left me cold with its looks. I looks like they melted the G35 sedan and took away two doors. Though all is not lost, as this shot proves:

Still though it has lost some of the edge from the first generation design.

Yeah Marcus, the G37 Coupé draws too much from the saloon, much like what Honda did with their Accord Coupé.

I'd take a saloon in any case... But this G37 does show that the Japanese competition ain't behind the rear view mirror. They're just right on par with the Germans, although they are deficient in some areas ...Like overall refinement which the E92 still takes precedence over.

I agree with Marcus, the G37 has lost something of it's appeal after the redesign. It looks cheaper (and more "Japanese") than before.

So even if the G37 did the 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds i would still take the BMW.

Hehe, right on, Yannis! :usa7uh:

To be honest i cannot say that i hate that Infiniti, it's not a bad car and overall i like Infiniti more than Lexus, but here it goes against 3er coupe with tt engine...? Sorry, Infiniti, you have no chance...:D

:t-cheers:
