M3/M4 E90 M3 Sedan (Spy pics & info)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Re: E90 M3

Wow silverstone II with barely any camo. Very sexy even though the rear could be better.

Re: E90 M3

who said that this one would be more agressive than the coupe..
it looks exactly the same in the front..

Re: E90 M3

4 door M3 wont come until after the facelift. so still like 6-7 months left.

Re: E90 M3

I love it! I'd take it over the C63 and the B7 RS4, now lets see the B8 RS4!:D

Re: E90 M3

Ditto. It's not more aggressive than the the Coupe. Some people are on crack. :D

I disagree with you NarutoRamen on this one. The E92 M3's aggressive, but when compared against other coupes in it's segment it doesn't seem all that aggressive. The E90 M3 on the other hand looks more aggressive then the C63 and the RS4 imho.:)

I have to agree with you.

Re: E90 M3

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.

This car is siiiiiiiiiiiick, I've been waiting a while as most of us on here have, it appears to have been worth it. Screw the coupe, I'll take the sedan. :t-cheers:

Re: E90 M3

I'd want the four door but the coupe is prettier.

BMW to introduce dual-clutch gearbox in M3 sedan

BMW will debut its first dual-clutch gearbox — dubbed M DCT — in the upcoming M3 Sedan. The sedan is expected to bow at an American auto show, probably either Detroit or Los Angeles. Although the car will also be available with a six-speed manual, the dual-clutch gearbox will use a seven-speed setup.

Co-developed with Getrag, the new gear box promises to be smoother than the outgoing SMG and will feature a shift lever similar to the one found on the X5 as well as paddle shifters.

The M3 Convertible is set to bow soon and is also expected to use the new M DCT technology. The M3 Coupe will likely see the technology as well. A high-performance M3 CSL is also believed to be in the works.

***?? Typo? They must mean M5.

Completely different proportions maybe.
I too think it looks more agressive...The coupe looks sleeker, the sedan ready to explode.

Re: E90 M3

i think they mean the weird looking shifter from the new X5 and facelifted 5 series klier

You're right. I misread again. Happens a lot lately....I'm exhausted (<-- excuse)

You think that shifter is weird looking? Do you prefer the old one? I think it looks awesome, but I find the quality in real life a bit disappointing. The thing feels kind of cheap, and it makes weird sounds when you operate it. Both on X5 and 5er :(

Re: E90 M3

weir doesn't have to be ugly
it's a nice looking shifter but i have never tries it to judge as per what you say
and no need to excuse yourself
if i am basking in my last week of vacation doesn't mean you have also to be doing nothing (evil laugh)

The DC Tranny should be an interesting piece. I`m wondering will it be just as fast as SMG. (Whatever the case it should be more reliable.)

As for the design of the sedan I don`t like the M3 coupes` nose job there.
It looks like a cheap cosmetic job to make the sedan look more sporty.

It takes away from the disinctive flair of the 2-door model.

I believe the M3 sedan would have looked better if BMW kept the 3er sedans headlights with white signal lights instead of this.

I don't think the coupe nose looks that bad, i just dont like the idea of it. It's strange.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
