X5 E70 X5 real-life photos

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
I really like the new X5. Man! I would argue, like many of you have, that this is truly the best looking SAV in the segment. Man I just love the new X5.

I love the lights. At first, I didn't, because it looks like it was hand carved, showing some slight defect in the lines. However, I have changed my view on them, because they look different and not to sharp and sofisticated as I would have wanted them.

Just because it looks like a larger X3 doesn't mean it isn't good looking.

It's just that many BMW fans (at least here) don't like the X3 (which I personally don't have any problems with). So calling it just a larger X3 is kind of an insult.;)

I don't think that is necessarily true. The X3 and the X5 are obviously very different vehicles. I think the problem stems from the fact that they may look smiliar, and people who may hold the X5 in high regard, may want to make an extra effort to make a distinction between the X3 and the X5 even though they look similiar. Most cars, from most manufacturers, do look similiar. If they didn't, then there wouldn't be an identity to the brand.

The X5 does not look at smiliar, however, since the X3 and the X5 are essentially SAV's, they will share similiarities that cannot be seperated by a mere name or code.

The X3 has gotten a little bit nicer, in my opinion, and truly has a nice foundation, that it didn't have at one time.

Well that is the price of branding, because they do look an awful lot alike, but I disagree with that being an insult.

BMW,

Thank you for once again proving me wrong and instilling a profound faith and trust in the brand name. I stand by you 100% from now own, and will stand by this promise for years to come.

I truly admire the achievement that was put forth on the new X5. The current X5, despite its age, has surpassed any other car, in my opinion, for being around for so long and retaining its magnificent beauty. I love the robust and aggressive yet evolutionary look the new X5 possesses. I truly think that the car will be a success and you once again have made me dream of having another beautiful masterpiece that was produced by your wise and incredibly talented artists (engineers).

Regards,

Michael

haha. Your tooo much! :t-cheers: I however really like what I have seen so far and I think this car is definitely going to be a winner.

Many of you may not know this, but Im a big fan of the GL and ML so the big question is whether this car is up to par or surpasses which would be an impressive feat because mercedes set the bar awfully high.
