5 Series (E60) E60 facelift - first info&pics

The BMW E60 is the fifth generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: E60 (saloon/sedan), E61 (wagon/touring). Predecessor: 5 Series (E39). Successor: 5 Series (F10). Production: 2003–2010.
Thanks ree!!

I'm scanning through the text (even though i can't read german) and i see the words "LED Technik (technology)" in there.

Changes i can see:

-New front bumper
-Revised rear number-plate housing
-LED technology in tailights

- interior has new swan-neck shaped gear-shift

The rear lights will get LED technology. And how you can see, the 5 series will loose his great aggressive face. :( The front is designed more nicer.

The engines will get more power:
525d - 197hp
530d - 235hp
535d - 286hp
523i - 190hp

Not official. Pics & info not 100% correct! Yes, I've said earlier "LED-fans" would be thrilled.

Expect official press release in approx. 2 weeks.

Next week: E81 BMW 1er 3dr.

edit:

ohh so they are fake..well lets wait and see then..this doesent look good anyhow:D

thanks, if you look at the scans they dont even look real.

Loooking at the scans you hardly notice any differences, look like the old one. Still the same aggressive headlights and those were never a problem. Its the bumper down on the car thats the problem with the existing E60 and I want them changed and looking at the scans, the front bumper looks better than the current E60.

the black plastic (where the small fog lights are) in the front is the thing I always find ugly on the E60. Its always looked cheap and boring design. thats what I want changed and looking at your scans, its a lot better. But I wait for BMWs own pictures, they will be better and not fake like the ones in AMS.

Can't really see any difference..but then I suppose this isn't the official press release, so I'll wait for that :usa7uh:

However, Thanks for the link Kokken and thanks for the scans ree.

btw, anyone know what is the official launch date for the facelift E60?

I'll pass my judgement 'till I see the official pics. I guess e60 facelift is just a minor update. Like Just_me said, the fog lights placing needs improvement.

Anyway I'm very much in love with the current e60, specially with M-package...So leave it like it is!!! :D

:t-drive:

Hi,

Any news on wither or not the M5 will get a facelift? Thanks!

I believe E60 M5 should get the same treatment as well, after all, the facelift is for all E60 and not just on some particular E60 models.
