Yes Dubai has plenty of nice cars, i recognise some i have seen on the streets of dubai and know some of the owners. Most of these cars belong to business people who have worked hard to get what they have.
I challenge the poster to defend his argument! For someting like this can only come out of some one who has been brainwashed by american media.
Besides, it was your choice to take my comment as a personal attack.Mostly from Saudi Arabia.Deutsch said:And where does America get it's oil from?
Firstly, let me say I agree with you ...but why do so many Arabs seem to think American's are "brainwashed" by their Media - that is also an ignorant misunderstanding of western culture - the Media is free in the west - there are many different voices saying many different things - information is not so easily oppressed as it is in some parts of the world - also (although I am not an American) do not underestimate the intelligence of the average American - why is it so acceptable for people to make such sweeping statements about the intelligence of Americans - sure there are some real morons in the US - but there are real morons everywhere. In my experience, although the US is generally quite a conservative nation, American's are some of the most open-minded and accepting people in the world - I know there is much anti-American feeling in the world today - but let's not assume that all Americans are ignorant and stupid.Rasha said:Im sorry but as some one from Dubai, born and bred, i have a serious problem with this quote. The UAE, like any other country, has the right to use it's resources and trade them with other countries - Deutsch - when you say they are spending American money, I would remind you that it's not just the US that uses oil - if American's have such a problem with fuel prices - then they should stop building and buying such large vehicles and start driving hybrids.
