A4/S4/RS4 Do you have more respect for Audi after the B7 RS4?

BTW I think you can get those pirelli tyres when you order the RS4, as with many manufacturers if you dont like any of the avaioable tyres on options you can opt to pay extra for the brand you want.

Yes that's true, you can order those tyres directly from Audi.

I would say, no it hasn't made me have more repect for Audi!

This is because I liked Audis before this car, ones that stand out are the B5 RS4 (loved that car) and the last generation RS6 (C6???).

The RS4 just continues this theme on, but it is better, doesn't increase my respect for the brand though!

yes they are an extra options so is the ceramic brakes and the sportchassi.

I already had lots of respect for Audi and their new found
following so I voted no:)

I voted yes...

I have a B5 S4 - great car, but my B7 RS4 raised the bar significantly.

I think that when viewed in the big picture, the development of the RS 4 mirrors the development of the R8 (LeMans Series) and the R10 - both undeniably techological tours de force. Audi - a respectable brand, no doubt, has taken the next step - to technological innovator.

Always a "me too" kind of brand, Audi now has BMW and Merc looking at how they can catch up. Certainly, technology will continue to advance and brands will leapfrog each other jockeying for temporary technological superiority. That's good for all of us, but right now, Audi has taken a giant step, forcing others to work harder. The RS4, R8 (consumer model), the upcoming RS6, and the racing R10 are undeniable leaders in their respective classes, and each (not just the RS4) has caused me to have increased respect for the marque.

Two years ago I took the Audi to a dealer in Hartford CT and told them what was wrong and what to write it up as. They still could not verify most of my complaints. They forgot to replace the brake fluid resivior, guess the "tech" missed the giant pieces of duck tape coving up the giant hole in the top of it... I had bleed the brakes in my 87 190E and then bleed the brakes in my 98 A4, both at 2 bar, 30PSI. The Benz had no problems, the Audi blew up.
When I took the car in, I talked with the service advisor and shop foreman. I told them I worked for Mercedes, "Don't worry we will take care of you". Yup they sure did. :eusa_liar
It is just too bad I could not return the favor.
0 for 2 at Audi dealers
1 for 1 at indy shops

since i have became very interested in german cars Audi has been at the top of the game for what i liked in cars. They are resonably priced but have performance, luxury and such. So no i dont think the rs4 made me have much more respect for them but it certainly added to my love of audi.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
