Death Wish? Buy a Brilliance BS6

Not surprising at all. Here is the reason why you don't buy a knock-off over the real thing. People who champion Asian cars on certain sites want you to think that the Chinese are going to take over the automotive world, like the Japanese and Koreans were supposed to do. These pathetic little puss buckets won't be sold here anytime soon with crash test scores like that.

Don't soft-pedal it, Merc, tell us how you really feel! I think you're holding back...

I have not driven or even seen this car, but i have a certain feeling that you don't feel safe when inside this car, as if (for example) in a Volvo. This is not always bad, but when combined with poor crash test results, it is indeed a death sentence.

For 19.000eur that is sold in Europe you can get a nice full-extra Focus or a two years old used 3er.

I don't see the point of this car, at least in the european car market. The buyers/consumers/drivers (the majority of them) are aware of what a car should feature to be acceptable, like a minimum materials quality and safety. Even my 17yo Clio is safer than this BS6, so i can't see why it could sell good in Europe.

PS. BS6 stands for BullSith 6? :D I just had to say that... :D

Brilliance can forget selling in Europe or the US now.

imo they shouldn't anyways. many countries have pollution restrictions for imported and domestic vehicles. there should be minimum safety restrictions to keep death traps like the BS6 off public roads.

True, but the consumers are smart enough - most of the time - not to buy an unsafe car. But I do wonder about the absense of minimum safety restrictions.

What surprises me is how this car is even being allowed to be sold in Europe with terrible safety ratings like this. :t-crazy2:

First, the EU cracks down on carmakers with bullsh*t pedestrian safety laws (which I can see will cause creative car design to come to a crashing halt) and now they're tightening their grip on emissions and fuel consumption.

So if the EU is so strict on automakers, what the hell are Brilliance cars doing in Europe!? :t-hands: :t-crazy2:

Agreed.

It boggles my mind, that Porsche cannot make the 911 Turbo even faster than already it is, but the Chinese are free to sell a deathtrap.

Just to show how the EU is pretty fked-up.

Agreed. I'm getting fed up with the bullsh*t EU politicians (and domestic politicians) are coming up with. These people should be smacked in the face. :usa7uh:
