You have to admit the conspiracy theories are becoming a special kind of Art.:confused::LOL: I want to frame this.

Exactly. That's what's it is.
I was actually illustrating a point one I have covered recently regarding the media. This was published. The owner of this outrageous and ridiculous statement is beyond bat shit crazy. And this is what I mean about the need to avoid being complacent. Because of this persons beliefs and other agendas, they match those perfectly with other factions who believe in the ludicrous ideals they follow which are pushed forward by the media.
The amount of likes and forwards this has got is beyond actual common sense that it shows how far actual news journalism has fallen with the introduction of social media. The terrifying outcome is that people out there are manipulated believe this to be true.

Maybe you should stop watching whatever crap you've seen this on? None of my usual sources of news have mentioned these conspiracy theories. The fact that you consider "news journalism" to have fallen maybe suggests they were never legitimate sources in the first place?

It is crucial that agenda-driven media is not misused as a brain prosthesis. As entertaining as it can be, it is nothing more than loosely news-based entertainment. FoxNews and CNN are but two examples of many (although I'll admit my respect for Fareed Zakaria of CNN).

From a Blue Check Mark so in Twitter's eyes they are verified to spout as much crap as they can.

There are people verified on Twitter who shouldn't even be allowed out of the house unaccompanied. It doesn't mean you have to take any notice of them.

Another bombshell coming out of the "epicenter" to the COVID1984 scamdemic, here in America. This is not only unethical and unconscionable it's downright sickening!

Are you saying it's fake?

I'm saying it's over hyped, the models were a complete joke. The stay at home protocols were scientifically baseless and certainly caused more reprehensible damage than the virus itself. A virus with 0.26% mortality rate. People were thrown in jail and fined for trying to open up their businesses, parents were arrested for playing with their kids at the park. How many families lost everything including their livelihoods in the process?

People were ridiculed and chastised for even questioning the narrative. It churned up a bunch normally rational people into neurotic, obsessive compulsive Karen's. Who wore mask as a symbol of obedience and a means to virtue signal to others. The same people who needlessly breath in their own c02 by wearing mask, while exercising outdoors, driving in their cars alone, pure insanity stuff. All over a virus that is virtually benign for the vast majority of healthy people. For the record,I've yet to see a single virologist publish anything on sarscov2 that fulfilled Koch's postulate.

Koch's postulate doesn't necessarily apply to viruses as it's more useful in bacterial, protozoal, and fungal infections because viruses are obligate cellular parasites. Viruses depend on host cell's machinery to survive and proliferate (*1). The host cells' loss of function and/or destruction is what causes the disease state.

Here's what Koch's postulate says...

  • The microorganism must be found in abundance in all organisms suffering from the disease, but should not be found in healthy organisms (*a)
  • The microorganism must be isolated from a diseased organism and grown in pure culture
  • The microorganism (from the pure culture) should cause disease when inoculated into a healthy organism
  • The microorganism must be re-isolated from the inoculated, diseased experimental host and identified as being identical to the original specific causative agent
*a.) Koch dismissed the universal requirement of the first postulate following the discovery of asymptomatic carriers of diseases such as cholera.

When Koch et al. finalized this postulate in 1890, viruses were not discovered by then. Viruses were discovered are few years later. In fact, an argument for Koch's postulate not being fulfilled with regards to HIV was a factor in contributing to the HIV/AIDS denialism movement, which was rather bunk.

There are more recent list of criteria, such as Bradford Hill criteria in 1965 and Molecular Koch's postulate in 1988, that are more inclusive to viruses may be used, but there are exceptions to those rules.

*1.) In a way, viruses are neither "alive" nor are they "dead," that's why it's not part of the Kingdom of Life (bacteria, protists, fungus, plants, animals as when I learned it, however there now 7 Kingdoms as of 2015.) While viruses do not undergo metabolism, they do contain genetic material (RNA/DNA) which, when inserted in host cell nucleic acid, hijack cellular function and leads to viral proliferation and eventual cellular destruction.]

The mortality rate was more like 6-7%.

Was?

...And yet it was used to identify sars. The...

Yes, that's a modified Koch's postulate by Dr. Thomas Rivers in 1937.

Per the Nature article you linked, here are the six criteria it needs to meet:
1) isolation of virus from diseased hosts
2) cultivation in host cells,
3) proof of filterability
4) production of comparable disease in the original host species or a related one
5) re-isolation of the virus
6) detection of a specific immune response to the virus

Which criteria were not met?

Yes I am aware. If you're arguing semantics then have at it. Modified Koch's Postulate is what was utilized.

I am not arguing about semantics or otherwise. But I am curious to know which of those 6 criteria listed has Sars-COV-2 not met the definition of that modified Koch's postulate, as you have cited?

The virus has never been isolated, only genetic material has been obtained. It has yet to be cultivated in host cells as well.

When they talk about virus isolation with respect to postulates, criteria, etc., it means the ability to isolate and identify a specific virion particle(s). And that's been done many times.

This virus is typically cultured in a Vero E6 cell line, which is a kidney epithelial cell. SARS-Cov-2 virus not only known to infect the lungs, but the kidneys, and if my memory serves me, the GI organs, etc. The virus has been found excreted in feces, urine and semen.
