Coffee lover here.
1x in the morning. Regularly. Almost always
cappuccino, sometimes
macchiato.
1x after lunch. Occasionally.
Espresso.
Made with semi-profi espresso machine. We have been loyal to De'Longhi for years now.
Always with sugar. 1 spoon. Preferably brown sugar.
Favorite brand of every-day coffee:
illy (preferably
whole been dark roast blend)
My lady and I also like to buy some fine single-origin Arabica coffee beans ... there's quite some selection available here (in specialized coffee shops, and even from illy) from different regions & growers around the world ..., ground them at home with an old-style manual grounder just before needed, and make a delicious to-die-for espresso in an original Bialetti moka pot. Either from single-origin Arabica, or we make our own blend from various ones. We just really like to spoil our guests with such a coffee treat ... offered with organic sugarcane brown sugar. a true coffee delight! It maybe sounds pretentious but it really is a perfect culinary delight for true coffee lovers!
I despise filter coffee beverages though, and find them an insult to coffee. Like I found spritzer to be an insult to wine. Who came up with such a blasphemous idea???
Tea ... I just consume herbal tea (mint, hibiscus, rosehip, chamomile, alpine herbal mix tea etc), not the real one made from the real tea plant, which I don't really like. Never have. I also don't like "friut tea" ... made from grounded dried fruit of any sort.
Elaborate enough? rofl!
P.S.: I forgot to mention some special coffee delights of mine ... for special occasions:
Irish coffee (double or triple espresso + sugar + some super-fine Irish whiskey + semi-whipped cream) in the winter, and
iced coffee (double or triple espresso + sugar + fresh, organic home-made vanilla ice cream + whipped cream) in the summer. Delicious!
