The prices you see are from Germany who have among the cheapest car prices in Europe. In Norway where I am from the price of the new Corvette Is not clear yet I think, but In 2013 a base C7 Stingray costed 1 800 000 NOK (aprox 180 000 €)....
 
That C8 only has 28 miles on it so it isn’t broken in yet. If it was broken in it should be making the 495 crank horsepower. This car needs to be driven 500 miles. So the 0-60 here might be off and a quarter mile test shall also be off.
