I configured a Cayman S online and with the car the way I wanted it, sport package, ceramic brakes, cobalt blue, and some exclusive interior bits (painted guage faces, belts, not too many things) the price was $90,000!
The cars we have in stock here in Naples are all optioned and most have Tech Art 19 inch wheels and are over $70,000.
I have been on the track now at the same time as 2 different Caymans and I can't say I was impressed with their performance, but that is probably more down to the driver. As far as vs. a Z06 on a track, on most tracks a Z06 would be faster than the Cayman S. Torque is the deciding factor on most tracks. Cornering speed is very important, but acceleration down the straights more than makes up for it on most tracks.
I did talk to a guy who has one last weekend and he was complaining that it does not have much power.
