Can a Mitsubishi Evo beat a Porsche Panamera Turbo around our track? Is it the Ferrari, Aston Martin or Lamborghini that’s our favourite supercar? And would we pick a Golf GTI or Ford’s crazy Focus RS after blasting across the North Yorkshire moors?

That was actually my first thaught as well...

The odds are with Lamborghini - they've got two belters in that line-up, each of them the finest editions of their respective ranges.

The Lotus Evora is a parochial possibility as is the over-loved (by British journos imo) Vantage V12.

The Audi R8 V10 is in with a long shot.

As for the back markers? I expect that the G37, E63, Z4, STI 330S and CTS-V will be the bottom feeders for this contest.

Not the STi 330S, not at the bottom, does these little buggers not fare relatively well in comparisons like this? The rest I can agree on...

Besides the utterly magnificent Chris Harris, the rest of the Brit journos are anti the STI hatch if I recall correctly.

They voted the LP560-4 as the winner last year so this year the LP550-2 is odds on favouriate but the Lamborghini LP670-4 SV should take it follow by the LP550-2 or the Noble M600 .

If CAR cannot get hold of the car for a 3-4 days test then it will not be in the test. Simple. There are a lot of cars missing in that comparison but that is the way it is.

Maybe next year.

NobleM600 quickest car around the track and LP670 second place. Intresting to see E63 beat the CTS-V with around 2 seconds.
