Car buying advice

Monster, no C250 CDI there?

The 250 CGI is impressive, but the 250 CDI takes the cake.

No C250 CDI yet, that might change at face lift time. They do offer the 250 CDI engine for the E-class here.

BTW, we finally sold the A8. :D
Finally, congrats mate, how long did it take, 2 years? Have you decided on its replacement?

Dude...
CGI = Common Rail Gasoline directInjection = Petrol engines
CDI = Common Rail Diesel directInjection = Diesel engines

Ohhh..:o

Personally i'd much preffer a diesel in large estate cars unless the engine is bigger with a lot more performance!

Notice that there is a difference between what I understood the acronyms to read and that which coolraoul has put forward. Which is the correct one?

Gullwing? Unterturkheim?

[Edit: Raoul, I'd be surprised that the "C" in CGI stands for "Charged" as this term is more normally used to imply forced induction. On the E350 CGI for example there is no forced induction, only common rail, direct injection. Of course, because the common rail is pressurised, it could be inferred that the fuel injection is "charged" as well. But it would still be vague and inconsistent with the CDI acronym in my books.]

When's the facelift due? If it's anything later than mid-2010 you might as well wait for the next generation 3 series due out in 2012. At least it's a new model with a full 7-years to go in its life cycle vs the W204's 3+ years.
