Do you like the wheels on those pictures? I think they match perfectly. Or there are these wheels which I like.

Yeap, like those wheels, they have the right balance between the sports and the luxury look, much like the car itself.

That entire combination looks very nice but I think the blue will look better. In fact I know it will!

:D Which type of wood are you going for?

Wheels done.

No idea. Struggling with this decision.

Anyway bed for me. Way past my bed time for an operating day. We have until Friday to decide

I will prefer the dark wood, it has a nice contrast with the beige leather interior. Have a look at these photos, is this the standard beign interior ?

This is good photo, space grey coupe and blue convertible together.

Going to post these photos in the 6 series gallary as well.

The colour combination on that photos is awesome!! I would prefer dark wood instead of the Alumnium, but the rest is just awesome!!

Thanks monsters - looks great.

How about this but???

:icondrool:icondrool:icondrool

Same colour interior with the Aluminium trim instead of the standard Rb Metal seen in the images above. It's 'real', cold to touch, aluminium so looks very nice in person with a longitude cut design.

How do we like combination?

Tough choice, the metallic red looks really good as well, but I have to say, the colour makes the car appear to be a bit feminine. Maybe your wife will prefer this colour ? I guess you can get her opinion by mentioning to her about seeing a metallic red 650 convertible on the streets and then see what she says about it.

The aluminium trims are a delight to touch and they add an extra sporty touch to the interior. It really depends on what sort of feel do you want when you sit inside your car, sports or luxury ?

That is how she will look. Asked her what her favourite colour on a car was and she said blue so we have a winner. All thats left is the interior trim. I don't like the standard wood options I'll have to have a look into individual to see if they have anything more to my liking...

Thanks for your help mate :usa7uh:

I would prefer the last one!! Nice rims and the black top is absolutely timeless…looks even good with black exterior! For the interior - what do you think of black piano trim in combination with beige interior?!

The last combination as well. I wonder if BMW offers a different finish for those wheels. Can anyone find the entire range of interior trim for the 6-series?

I went to the BMW configurator and there are 2 type of beige leather, one is called Exclusive Pearl leather, and the other is Dakota leather. I can't tell the difference between the 2 from the photo. Do they come standard with UV reflective coating ?

edit: I had a look just then, their sun reflective technology is only reserved for the individual interior, here is the link BMW Individual 6 Series Convertible : SunReflective Technology

????

I like the 2nd picture the most. I absolutely love those wheels. The other one is extremely elegant too, but the 5 spoke is more like me. Also I'd go with dark wood, it will look perfect with beige.

Interior and trim decide upon :D

Hope you like it because I have made my mind up...

Seriously but, Do you like that interior combination. It is individual but I'm willing to pay more for that because, well, look at it!!!

:t-cheers:

:icondrool I thought you have made up your mind and go with the standard interior, but this purchase is more emotional than rational, so why not go all out :usa7uh: It looks awsome, seriousely fantastic :icondrool. Mate I wish I can join you in the showroom, it will be so much fun.

Make sure you option the sun reflective coating for the interior.

I found 2 photos of this beige individual interior but not with piano wood.

btw for some reason the update for this thread didn't register on my user CP so I only notice you have replied when I check ree's reply.

Thanks for the pictures mate :usa7uh:

I think I will go with the individual interior and black piano wood. As you said this is an emotional purchase not a rationale. Nothing I do away from work is rationale otherwise I'd be boring :D

The cost is substantially different but. The interior option will all up cost $16750 on top of the extras and options. End price of the car will be 265k approx. My work car allowance won't cover the entire lease so I will have to pay approx $1000 per month out of my pocket. Which is cheaper then leasing a XR6 thorugh salary sacrafice. So I'm not to fussed over this matter anymore. I will proberly down grade with my next into a 3 Series, or maybe even a new Falcon, which I am more then happy to do...

I'm not sure how long the individual treatment will bounce back the delivery date. That is the only thing I have to clarify tomorrow. Don't want to miss her birthday...

The new Falcon is still good, I am sure the new XR 6 turbo will be able to keep your wife and her 650i in sight.

I have completely forgotten about the delivery delay when you order the car with individual treatment, my guess is about no more than a month. What will you do if the car will miss her birthday?

p.s Nice avatar.

Go for the convertible. If you and your soon to be wife are planning on having one or more kids, a convertible will be impractical for at least the five year period after you have the first. Unless you and your wife want to swap cars at that point.

I've got an almost two year old and just picked up another 5er. I wanted a convertible but there's absolutely no room for all the kiddie gear you end up lugging around. Enjoy the freedom to choose whatever you want now, because once the little ones come, you'll need more space.

Yeh, I'll be more then happy with the new Falcon for a work car. I find not drawing to much attnetion to your self at work has many benefits.

I think it will arrive in time by about 2 weeks. I'll owrry about where to keep it then closer to the date of arrival.

I like the avatar to. I usually sit and watch scrubs with my younger patients when there lonely and they all seem love it and forget their troubles! My favourite modern comedy. Scrubs fan?

Your dealer should be able to keep the car for you in their garage, just have to tell them, cause legally if you don't pick up your car from them within a certain amount of days (I can't remember), they can legally claim it as their own. Our dealer kept our E-class for 2.5 weeks before we finally took it home.

Yes, well used to be Scrub fan, now I just watch it when I have time. I used to follow it when Channel 7 show it on TV, but then after a while they air the show at random times, and they show new espiodes inbetween old ones, so I was bloody confused. My brother found a site which allows people to watch every single ep of each season, but the screen is small.

UPDATE:

Have a surprise. Had to make some major changes a few weeks ago due to time constraints. Car is built. Will arrive next week for a thursday pick up ready for my wifes birthday on Sunday... Been very busy with work so haven't had a chance to update, sorry guys...

You will all be very surprised. Had to make some major changes. In retrospect, I think the changes have bought about the choices I should have made from the beginning...

I have the Monday off after her Bday so I will provide images :)
