Could be that the car went slightly airbourne after a bump, hence no traction.

I thought only Sport Auto did that. No, it's more likely the usual Autocar-bullshit-data![]()
Strange. Separate runs for velocity and distance? It seems that all cars that hit 180mph with Autocar have a problem, look at this test and also the P1 it supposed to do 18.0sec to 180mph but the kilometer post is in 18.2sec at 178.5mph! The 918 did 18.2sec to 180mph but to kilometer it did 18.2sec at 180.4mph!!
No. Maybe the Vbox Tools software is too much for them...Strange. Separate runs for velocity and distance?
That's just an example. It's a Suzuki Swift 1.3 and the data are in kphThose are some weird figures. RC car?
The 458 Italia has very short gearing compared to the Veyron and most of its rivals (911TS/650S etc.) so you can expect it to have really good flexibility. The acceleration times are brutal but in-gear times are not that much impressive considering 1500nm of torque.
458 Italia does 50-70mph in 5,7s in 7th gear
Veyron SS does 50-70mph in 5,9s in 6th gear
I think that's because of turbo lag.
Indeed. 7th on the 458 is in fact shorter than 5th on 991 Turbo I think. Something some people seem to miss when looking at in gear times. And 6th on a Veyron is longer than 6th on a Turbo S.The 458 Italia has very short gearing compared to the Veyron and most of its rivals (911TS/650S etc.) so you can expect it to have really good flexibility.
