Report Bugatti Divo

Chiron has the best quality interior of any 'production' car ever made. And I think there's quite a gap between it and the next best thing.

As for this car, as breathtaking as it is, I still prefer the normal Chiron over it. Or perhaps the long tail.

I can't watch Shmee without wanting to punch my screen, did he purchase a Divo or is this just a drive?
He must have the biggest garage in the world cause every time he drives a car he says he is going to buy it lol. Although he seems annoying on-screen you cant help but admires the cars he shows on his Youtube channel. Maybe to watch his shows you need to put his voice on mute and enjoy the cars haha.

It starts at 7.32 onwards. I never saw what happened afterwards. Honest!

^^
It's no secret that BEVs will inevitably smash every record set by ICE cars. In the future, I see BEVs playing the role of an Apple Watch: Does its job brilliantly and is easy to use in every possible way. ICE cars will take on a similar role to mechanical watches and become collectibles, stores of value and hobbies.

I've known for quite awhile. When Matt Watson smashed 8.62 seconds @171.79MPH on the 1/4 mile. That Rimac Nevera wasn't even on full power I believe. Incredibly quick. Around 1.4 seconds quicker to 170MPH than the Koenigsegg Regera. Unbelievable.

But the W16'S are unique in automotive spheres dominated by twin turbocharged V8 engines. Irreplaceable.

can we so something different with the plaid now, like run it against a top fuel dragster or a top methanol dragster?

Brooks has been away in Dubai looks like he's got time or is back in the United States of America. Mostly everyone has seen both races! LOL!

Drag racing road cars isn't that interesting, IMHO...

Drag racing EV's is duller than the dullest matte-finish dull on the scale of really dull shit..

Drag racing Top fuel is love, drag racing Top fuel is life... even when someone builds an EV dragster that goes faster than Brittany Force's zero to 338.17mph in 3.659 seconds, it'll never match the event that it is being in close proximity to a Top fueller launch.

I've got to disagree on the initial point.. Watching the Mclaren Speedtail battle the Bugatti Chiron the other week was fascinatingly interesting.

Hypercar versus production hypercar will always be an event. Currently those are the only independently tested and verified numbers for the Mclaren Speedtail I'm aware of, unfortunately.

And atleast the owners are racing some. Otherwise they are just garage queens.

Fair enough, different strokes and all that. To me, the less 'analogue' the cars are, the less interesting it is. Don't get me wrong, a technical discussion about the physics of it is interesting, but as an event... m'eh. Nailing the launch - balancing traction with your feet and having to nail the shifts would certainly be exhilarating, but in these hypercars (and especially EV's), it just seems like, nail the throttle and yer done. From a spectator point of view most road cars both look and sound completely out of their depth the moment a 'proper' dragster arrives.

Hypercar versus production hypercar will always be an event.

I think when the hype of the supposed 'Holy Trinity' of the P1, La Ferrari and 918 took hold was when I realised how little I care about this class of car. Beautiful objects, yes. Immense feats of automotive engineering, yes... totally pointless when it comes to performance, also yes. The fact that on a track these Hypercars are matched or bettered by a FWD Ford Focus (in BTCC NGTC spec) just makes me wonder what the point is. The performance level is so ridiculously far above what can be achieved on a public road the differences become entirely irrelevant, which relegates them to track scenarios, and if you're wanting to go fast around a race track, a race car is the best way of doing it.

the best fun fact about Top Fuel: they accelerate faster than the launcher on an aircraft carrier
