Sometimes I wonder if BMW's electrification initiative would have been taking off at much faster pace if they focus more on battery technology and electrical motor than futuristic looks, weight saving & mass production of carbon fiber?

In hindsight, Tesla and the new player Dyson's focus on autonomous, battery technology & electrical motor seem to payoff. Any thoughts?

But BMW has developed its own electrical motor with some special features in it. I can't see what more they could do in this regard.

Or what exactly is paying off for Dyson? Seriously, what a giant LOL to even mention them.
Naming Tesla I can understand. They are doing well, they made their second quarterly profit after all, after like 30 tries. Awesome.
