X6 BMW X6 SAC E71 Picture Thread (Production Version)

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof).

What kit is that?

Porsche Cayenne competitor… :D …would prefer a X5 though. Much more space for the important equipement…

^ The color is good and the size is ok (21" I believe), but the design is not ok.
Someone in my neighbourhood has that exact combo, and it's mildly hot.

I think the colour is called "Blue Water".

The X6 is equipped with a hybrid drivetrain which pairs up a V8 gasoline engine with two electric motors.

Reported output is 468bhp and 575 lb-ft tq, with a quoted 0-62mph of 5.6! BMW claims that the X6 ActiveHybrid, which can run on pure electric power for a mere 1.6 miles or 2.5 km at speeds of up to 37 mph or 60 km/h, has a combined fuel economy rating of 28.5 mpg, though its unclear if this number is US mpg or IMP mpg. Cosmetic differences to the regular X6 is a hood power bulge, special wheels and special badging, as well as the metallic blue color seen in the photos below.

Impressive 0-60 sprint time for a hybrid

I hate the wheels too. But sadly, it's form follows function here. They really couldn't care less about the looks, it's all about drag and efficiency :)

We previewed these wheels on the 2008 Geneva concept the Vision X5 and the design really works with the car's aerodynamics.
You will be seeing these wheels and similar aerodynamically honed wheels in future BMW's such as the Active Hybrid 5 , Active Hybrid 1etc.
In the future we will also be including clipoff panels that will also help efficiency.

The wheels on the Active Hybrid 7 are also designed to help with efficiency.
