IRL this car is really impressive.

The dimensions can't be perceived well from the pictures nor film. It's a must see in person. It's a huge car with huge presence.

Check it in person as soon as having chance (eg NAIAS 2008). Or visit Munich & cruising around the city ... plenty X6 to see (still with tape on).

Wonderful.

Sorry for not focusing primarily on the X6 ....but what fantastic photographs these all are. I am curious about how much digital manipulation has been used on them.

there is one thing I don't like: the badge X-drive. Yeah we know it's AWD, it's an SAV, just like MB seems to love putting 4-matic on the ML and GL. Looks so stupid. I know it's probably marketing and getting the name out there but it's like putting coupé convertible on the boot of an slk or 3 series.

I remember hating this car... and as many of you know I really can't stad BMW's cars at all.. except the 6-series, that is pure sex.. and I think BMW's made it agian when I seen this tread.. This is a new 6 with is eaven more sex on wheels than the last six.

Either way.. This car is, as far I can see, BMW's biggest hit since the M3 first saw the daylight!

and last since my X-father in law woun't wait for stupid Audi for the Q5 and Audis SAC car.. He is for the moment determent to buy one of these! ASAP

I will help him with equipment and such..
Congrats BMW you made it again!!

I spent a good half hour after New Year's teaching my guests in such a modest manner (and I felt so proud of even knowing and remembering what I've learned on here) about the X6, then pulling up all my screensaver/desktop pics of it. I think they got more excited than me, as I tried to hide my swelling pride within. One was even a car salesman for Nissan/Infiniti, and was impressed with the car and my knowledge. The hour ended with us all debating what color fits this staggering beast best.

I'm becoming an expert on it, this thing better not let me down when I get to finally meet it!
