X3/X4 BMW X4 is coming...

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.
I think the white one is the X4, but who knows, they're pretty much the same..

The grille of the white one is a little wider, should be the X4…

BMW Managing Director downplays an X4 M, hints at an X4 M Performance variant - report

Could have a diesel engine
We're already heard rumors that a BMW X4 M is unlikely but a new report is indicating there could be an M Performance variant.

Speaking with The Motor Report, BMW Australia Managing Director Phil Horton said "There are plans to expand the diesel M" lineup. He went on to say "I think where there might be potential is in the new X4, which we’ll be bringing in next year."

When pushed for more details, Horton said “There is some discussion about, not an M car, but an M Performance car. Potentially with a diesel engine, but I’m not sure that that’s actually a confirmed product as yet."

Horton declined to say what could power the crossover but the X5 M50d has a tri-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops 381 HP (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. It remains unclear if that particular engine would fit in the X4 M Performance but we'll likely find out soon enough.

BMW Managing Director downplays an X4 M, hints at an X4 M Performance variant - report

This is an excellent news rs271. Let's hope BMW will produce an x4 m50d and bring it by summer 2014.

As I will have to replace my actual X3 3.5i Msport next summer, I would opt straight away for a nice X4 m50d. It already sounds pretty damn good, as I sometimes feel that the 35i engine is a bit short (low powered) in some cases.

X4 debuts March 14
BMW is currently analyzing the prospects of launching a diesel-powered M Performance variant of the upcoming X4 crossover.

In an interview given to The Motor Report, BMW Group Australia Managing Director Phil Horton said there could be an M Performance X4 sometime in the future, while a fully-fledged M version is not being considered. Interestingly, if the X4 M Performance will be green-lighted for production it will probably be powered by a diesel engine.

We already know the regular X4 will be officially revealed on March 14, 2014. The company's product communications manager Bernhard Ederer said a while ago BMW decided to build a smaller X4 based on the success of the larger X6. Even though there is an X6 M version, an X4 M will not happen because the Bavarian marque doesn't see it as the "best business opportunity."

How many version of different front facia of X4 are there?
there are the M Version (red mule in USA, black Mule in Germany with front air intakes and wavy black plastic grille)
there is a white mule in USA with big front air intakes and flat horizontal black plastic grille, it looks like on this one the front air intakes are bigger than on the MPack one.
there is the Brown mule in USA with smaller front air intakes.

I m the only one to have noticed that?

Palbay caught the X4 now that it is dropping its camouflage.
As you can see , bar some minor changes the car stays true to the concepts aero packet.
The X4 will follow the new X5 and introduce specific model lines such as Luxury , X-Line , Sport and M-Sport.
