GLC's interior is starting to look dated. Not to mention that the copy and paste C class interior doesn't suit this car at all. It needs rugged interior handles, for starters. Like that lovely GLE interior.

Well that interior is from the C class and it’s been with is for a while now.

Those GLC seats are gorgeous though, and more 'lite' looking compared to the X3 seats (which look quite nice too)

Both look pretty good to be fair. I hate that colour on the X3 though, darker shades would look better IMHO.

They are beyond silly. And I am putting it mildly.

They are out of place, in your face, utterly useless and way over the top. Worst part of the GLE/S interior, closely followed by those air vents and fake vents. For me they ruin the entire interior. Your eyes get drawn to them all all I can think is 'WTF".

What doesn’t come across in photos is the audible presence of the GLC63.

The throaty and thundering V8 makes itself heard even at crawling speeds. It turns people’s heads and you won’t drive in it unnoticed. It’s the strongest differentiator from the X3, Stelvio and Macan.

The GLC is a very fine automobile, but design-wise BMW has nailed it with the X3.

Autogefuhl touches on the interior quality of both the GLC63 vs X3M and they think the X3M edges 63S. Can’t wait for the eventual comparison tests.

BMW X3M and X4M Competition REVIEW Exterior Interior Sound - Autogefühl

Can anybody explain this obsession some people have with finding out other people's opinion of something? Comparison this, comparison that. This beats that, and that beats this. 0-60 times. I just don't get it. Surely the only people who should care are those who are in the market for either vehicle, and even then, surely their OWN opinion is what matters, so they should just find out themselves at the dealer?

Mercedes for me, V8 does it for me in this segment.

Sounds like a very populist-oriented viewpoint to me. Comparison is an innately human trait and, in very many cases, an intelligent and analytical thing to do. In my line of work, I will very often rely on the research and fact gathering of other more learned individuals simply because I haven't got the time or means to test drive all the latest and greatest systems. I download comparison infographics, tables and charts - which are the work of others - before I even look at a competitive product demo. Then, using all of the facts I've gathered, I can start forming my own views and conclusions in order to be able to articulate these in an informed manner.

Product comparison is as old as products themselves. But personal opinion isn't necessarily sufficient as information, for example, you might think that you happened to find a rather large and hence valuable diamond but upon showing a diamond merchant came to realise it was just a cubic zirconia and that your opinion of its value was unreliable.

Bringing this concept closer to topic: I reckon I can drive better than 98.256489% of the general populus. However, it would be foolish of me to form a sole opinion of whether an M5 drove better or worse than an E63 based on a brief test drive around a city block. First of all, I had no opportunity to explore the outer performance reaches of either car and secondly, would I actually have the skills to do so? Maybe I'm overrating my own helmsmanship?

So, naturally, if one is unable to gather the necessary personal insight to the fullest extent possible then we will revert to heeding the opinions of others who either have a credible opinion on such matters or whom have gathered empirical evidence to support an opinion. Am I going to take some regular Joe who thinks he can pedal's opinion on how a car drives? No. Will I take a renowned and respected driver's opinion over my own? Nothing wrong with that.

But this is because YOU have a vested interest. My original point was "those who should care are those who are in the market for either vehicle". The equivalent is you doing all that research and fact gathering when you don't even need to have an informed opinion because you neither buying the product or advising a 3rd party.

To be fair to you, I did then go on to say that anybody who is in the market for one should find out for themselves, and I think your response is mainly in answer to that. With that in mind, what I will say is car reviews are not fact based. They're opinions. Someone can review the interiors of two cars and come to a conclusion as to which is the best, but it doesn't mean it's correct as there is no correct answer. And that can be said for handling, exhaust sound, the way the HMI works. A large part of a review is opinion. Even 0-100 is not entirely scientific.

But isn't whether something is a diamond or cubic zirconia a binary answer? Something is either a diamond or it isn't (unless I'm mistaken on that, I'm not an expert?)

However, whether a seat is comfortable or the interior materials are of good quality is far more subjective.

As an X3 owner I would respectfully disagree. I'm so thoroughly bored of the way my X3 looks inside and out. The Macan, Q5 and GLC still attract my admiring gaze.

And what is mr maniac rambling about again? Holy LOL

@martinbo

Why are you and I able to have an adult conversation, and yet this guy is not? Why should anybody have to put up with this? He does it because he knows he will get away with it, time after time, and it just lowers the tone of the forum. I personally cannot be bothered wasting my time engaging with the forum in a respectful and useful way.

Like I said a few days ago, I've long had nobody on my ignore list, and for the benefit of a peaceful life (and for the forum's benefit) I've simply avoided engaging or responding to the six people who I simply don't get on with and previously had on "ignore". I haven't quoted them, I haven't negatively rated them. I've let them be, and I would hope they would let me be. So it really is quite tedious that I'm still having to deal with posts like the one above.

Lol klier stop being a nasty bitch.. what’s wrong with you?

Anyway the pre fl GLC is the tits, I love that car I would take it over any suv besides the G.
The only weak point it has is the interior.
I’m eagerly waiting for the next gen, hopefully it will get an interior that matches the rest of the car.

Or they will make a stunning interior like the GLE and mess up the exterior. Time will tell.

Anyway it’s above and beyond the x3!
