Vs BMW X3 vs MB GLK

I can't disagree more.

X3: more modern & fresher although being older. Also: sportier & more aggressive.


GLK: too boxy & rectangular. Even more over-styled than X3. But it definitely looks like a genuine Benz - and that's a very good think for MB. And it looks classier than X3.


Btw, nice homage to BMW by MB again - this time with those eyebrow front turn signals.

Sorry to say this for the MB fans, but I have no other way to say this...
....the GLK looks absolutely freaking horrible. Worst looking car out of all major German carmakers imo.
The GLK makes the X3 look less bad, which is a pretty difficult thing to do actually.

I hope it's not the angle or something like that, but omg is that car bad looking!

Lol! I don't know if it because I just took an excessive dose of my medication against the flu I'm battling, but I fail to see what more fresh, modern and sportier about the X3 compared with the GL. So please explain to me what you see that we others don't.

AHAHA one of the easiest polls I have ever seen... The X3 does not stand a chance, because he always looked very very crappy, and now he faces the GLK, which is just gorgeous...

neither are wonderful cars, the X3 being the least flattering BMW, although still a good car in what it is suposed to do
and the GLK looks like it was designed in the 90's with the first gen Honda CRV in mind, time will tell about the GLK, the X3 is a proven platform, and our ranting about design philosophy didn't handicap its sales, the MB badge will also overcome whatever rantings we have on the GLK

My anticipation for the Q5 is high and I expect it to be a well proportioned beauty.

The Q5 is due very soon, Detroit most likely. I don't expect it to be anything out of the ordinary but sometimes small differences does wonder. Slightly better shape and design than the Q7 is what I have in mind.

so is theoretically the new X3, not as soon, but withint the coming 2 years, which is in marketing talk a very short period. so it will be a tough batlle
audi is not looking to win fights based on looks, they are now in the E3x period of design on a BMW timeline, nice clean, but ultimately insipid out of a weiner can design, audi is looking to win based on quality, and badge more so than anythig else. but unfortunately for them aulity and reliabilty is something veyr easy to mess up, and in this time and age, the market moves at breakneck speed, they do not have the time that BMW or mB had to establish themselves, that is why they need to up the ante in their game, as a long term goal, although now they are pretty competitive

going back to the fight at hand, i reiterate, in that none is very flattering, the GLK is more benz than the X3 is BMW, but both designs are lacking in many ways, ultimately i think they will sel in almost equal numbers with a slight advantage to the GLK in the first year, we shall see what the future holds for the segment

As for the GLK,well i'm shocked to say the least,i mean what is that?!! it's like a box with four wheels the car is wayyy boxy and edgey..i hope it'll grow on me with time,now i hope Audi has done a good job wth the Q5.

The GLK looks really really good, it follows the way opened by the C-Class: it is more Benz than ever... I like it, they are back to their core values, both in technical and design aspect.

I see no problems for the next gen X3 at all with the design MB chose for this car. I agree X3 looks very bad for a 2007/2008 model BMW, but the MB is not prettier looking. I actually think the exterior is even uglier.

The X3 interior though.... LOL, that's freaking pathetic.
