You could buy the Bovensiepen Zagato.

You can't buy the Vision Alpina so the comparison is somewhat moot.

I'd also wager the Bovesiepen Zagato is a better drive than either the SkyTop or SpeedTop, despite being cheaper.

I agree there is the 5, 7 and 8 series to use! It would be tragic for a €400k "bespoke" bar to look less premium inside than an 8-series with extended leather.

It looks much better than the alpina concept.

And a 100k M4 Coupe drives much better than this 400k Bovensiepen Zagato. Because Bovensiepen did this weird decision to build a coupe from the 300kg heavier convertible base. So it is no comparison to a M4 coupe which costs a quarter... the whole Zagato thingy feels totally half-assed.
Every Alpina was a much more sound/reasonable product.

They had 60 years to do a bespoke design and never did. No sooner had they lost the tit of their car supplier than they rushed to do something "weird," to put it mildly. Don't get me wrong, I love Alpina and everything they've done throughout their history is wonderful, but this one seems to have gotten a bit anxious.

Ye Gods. It works…it’s beautiful…

OMG. This Vision Alpina model has a lot of potential! BMW would be dumb not to build it ...

Personally, I am quite confident that we will be seeing many of its design elements on next-gen large BMW non-SUV vehicles. Sedans, perhaps future GCs or 4 door shooting brake types of automobiles. Who knows ? Maybe even 2 door coupes and canvas tops.
