Vs BMW M5 vs Porsche Panamera GTS

It is difficult to compare these cars. The Panny is meant to be sportier than the 5er and has the same size than a 7er. So, ideally, you would like to compare the M4 with the long rumored Pajun.

It seems the new Turbo has crushed the times on the ring. Let's wait to see what the Turbo S and the F90 do when they come.

Well, to each his own, track times just prove which car drives better on a circuit, which probably is not the most important factor to decide which car to buy.

Again, the Panny is a different concept of car than the 5er, but if you exclude the Porsche, the M5 will probably post better times than the E63 and RS6.

I Think the Turbo S will have around 580-600hp and the M5 will have atleast 600hp. So its not just need its what is a fair comparison. Hell i just want BMW to release it so i can tell you, you were wrong..

Belive you me my friend, i hate lap time comparisons in non sports cars, but the norm was set by the BMW fans, Always pushing the track time agenda.
Like they said in the video above up to 100km/h even the Panamera GTS is faster than the M5 due to better traction, and irl stop light racing it gets beat. It gets beat in the way it drives, suspension steering and so on.. those things matter to me.
But the lap times is just Another Point where it gets beat and will get beaten.
All im trying to say to klier is that the Panamera is 1 number to large for the M5.

The Motor Trend test is probably the worst performance by the F10 M5 I have seen tested. The trap speed in the 1/4 mile suggests that something was not right with the car. I had an F10 M5 and data logged with a vbox and went to the track with it. Even in my hands the M5 recorded an 11.835 @120.87mph run in hot and humid conditions (only mods was Supersprint mufflers and K&N drop-in filters). In the same state of tune I even recorded a best 3.67s 0-60mph out on the street (with 1-ft roll out like the US car mags use). So the MT test does not show the true performance capabilities of the F10 M5. This is coming from a now E63 S owner, so I am not blinded by BMW Fanatacism.

Except you can't compare the time of one mag with the time of another mag. Different drivers and different conditions and all. This is pretty basic stuff.
The only test I believe is the test where the same driver tests the cars on the same day, in the same way, in the same conditions. Everything else is pointless.

Oh and BTW....the F90 M5 in camo already looks better than the new Panamera Turbo. Good times ahead.

What is punch? Most of porsches line up smokes the M5.. All GT models, R models and turbo models.. hell some GTS's.. haha stop it.. 918.. BMW and supercars shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath, bmw is not in that business.

The M5 and M5 30 Yare is slower to 200km/h than quite a alot of Porsches that are less powerful, 911 GT3, 911 GT3 RS, 911 R, Turbo, Turbo S.

That's the perfect test for the M5 and probably the only way it can edge a panamera.. Rolling start high speed.

And where is this supposed to happen on the track or in the real world?

Possibly in 1 country on earth, Germany and autobahn..

The Panamera Turbo is the quicker car. But above 60 mph, the M5 is faster.

From 60-150mph the M5 needed 14.7s. The Panamera Turbo needed 17.1s and the Turbo S needed 15.5s. Technically the Panameras are ultimately faster since they have no speed governors and can hit 190mph+. But I fully delimited M5 would likely crack 200mph.
