M3/M4 BMW E90 M3 Sedan (Official pics & info)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
Funny, Artist that you post a picture where you compare RS4 front with the M3 front because that's the newest part of the car. We haven't seen that front for even a year now and you say it looks dated. Sorry but that's funny as hell. :D If there is something on the 3er sedan that is starting to look dated, it's the rear lights which BTW are currently the only rear lights in the BMW lineup that don't have LEDs. But that will be corrected with the facelift next year.

What is funny is you expecting anything objective from Artist when it comes to M3. :)

I actually like it more than the coupe in some ways - looks more butch while the coupe is more sleek.

you really wanna do this?
are you sure?

then tell me how they will correct this

LoL Artist, I like it when you try to challenge people. Its like they are going to lose and die or something. You really are selfconfident but thats a must if you are a boxer :D

My opinion, M3 Sedan doesnt look outdated, same front as M3 Coupe and from profile, give me a shot of a blue or black M3 Sedan and then we can compare. A colour is A and B on a car, just like rims are, meaning very important for the look of a car.
The bodykit on C63 is too fussy and dare I say ricey. A standard C-class looks okey but the bodykit, not my taste.

^stop it everyone knows that you love the C63.. and really arent to happy with either this one or the coupe..

:D

truth to be told I was impressed with C63 when it came but after some time, getting my grip together again :D I realized the bodykit failed on me. With that said I dont find C63 ugly but not special as my first impressions. I've seen the M3 IRL and it totally changed my feelings about the car, with that said, I havent seen C63 IRL yet, so who knows.....

BTW a white C63 look 10 times better than a silver C63, colors does matter.

Um, change color? :t-hands: I don't see anything wrong with the profile of the M3 except maybe the hood bulge but it looks better IRL shots. Now if you take a look at the first RS4 picture you posted, see the almost wall straight side of the car that starts from the downmost part of the doors and goes all the way up above the door handles. That already makes the RS4 look a bit dated when compared to the M3.

However I do agree that the M3 should have a more exciting interior just like the C63. RS4 interior looks much more special.

about that colour part..

are BMW stupid?

A silver car with all black interior?

Come on man.. who takes these photos?
Bangle?

FYI I personally think that the 3-series still looks quite fresh, and so do several people I know. Oh, I actually have always liked the rear of the 3-series, and so do several of the people I know.

On top of that, I saw the new C the other day, and I almost fell asleep just staring at it. So I guess it comes down to personal opinion.

But in saying that I see two RS4's in grey everyday, and I can't say they are fresh either. So what do I know?

ohh certainly.. as i said the RS4 is also dated..
but i almost feel the M3 is even more.. or ATLEAST as dated..

its really not about the M3 you see.. its the 3er..

and if you cant agree with me that this M3 looks dated.. you must agree that the 3er does..

and after all the M3 is a 3er..

certainly..
isnt it walways like that..
personal opinions.. and im just trying to voice mine.. (in a very vocal way...)
haha

Lo'l, I know a guy who has ordered his M3 Coupe in the exact same combination. I tell him what you said :D

come on man.. dont do that.. i dont want him to hunt me down

the Coupe looks better though so he will be safe..

PS
One thing this sedan has done is made me appriciate the coupe more
so big up to BMW :usa7uh:

:D

Yeah the C63 is very impressive initially, but once you get past it, it is pretty childish even bordering ricey. The design theme is pretty much let us cramp every possible race car cue into the front bumper.

^no its functional..haha
Mercedes-AMG
:D

PS
Just a quick question.. i know you guys will NEVER IN YOUR LIFES admit that the C63 is better at anything ..
but seriously you can say that the gap has decreased.. and now the M3 isnt really the supreme ruler anymore, how does that feel?
i know i would be gutted if MB realeased a new S class wich wasent far ahead of the competition...

and if you cant agree with me that this M3 looks dated.. you must agree that the 3er does..

and after all the M3 is a 3er..

Well, yeah. the part that is maybe starting to look dated is the rear. The front still looks quite fresh when you see one in the streets driving past you with the xenons and angel eyes. :usa7uh:

^haha..
no but okay ile be serious..

im not fooling around..as a BMW fan.. how does it feel that the gap between the M3 and RS4/C- AMG has decreased?

come on..its a fair question .. isnt it?

yeah ..
so does a W220 S class.. it looks fly when you pass it.. STILL
but compared to the competition.. thats what im talking about

Bound to happen. Competition is not stupid to sit and watch while BMW makes a killing.

The market for this segment of cars is big enough now that every one is going to come out with their versions - like Lexus just did.

Same thing goes for CSL too, when/if that market will gets big enough others will also follow. That is way free markets work. :)

Ok i dont' know who said what but my response to the previous few pages are here..
Firstly a white car with black interior, isn't that one of the most standard combination? Might look sharper with a red interior but for normal cars white/silver goes with black doesn't it?
Interior boring.. well I admit all BMWs has the similar interior nowadays, it doesn't look great in pics I agree as well, but for sure it looks great in real.
Dated? I mean, have you seen a 3er on the road? The coupe absolutely doesn't look dated, and the sedan, from a far distance I admit i don't like it too much, it is stubby and lines don't flow to well, but up close, unless you are taking the most bottom models with 16" wheels and no chrome kidney bars, then it looks a bit cheap.. But take a 325i and put it next to the C class Elegance or something, stand a few metres back and look at it, the E90 is no less fresh than the new C, and it is a bit surprising that MB couldn't come up with a better body shape even with a 2.5year advantage over the E90. Mind you the Cclass classic package looks basically crap. MB has continually been releasing pics of the Advantgarde/AMG kit/C63 C classes only.

The gap between BMW M, Audi RS and MB AMG has decreased, which is normal. The demand for cars 10-15 years ago were more comfort/safety focused with less emphasis on driving pleasure and capabilities, but BMW had always been a sporty brand.. Nowadays we all talk about steering 'feel' and bodyroll etc. while people were extremely happy before in ship like suspension cars because they were so comfy. Now of course, everyone is trying to make the most sporty car while offering some levels of ride comfort, and with that in focus, of course the gap decreases. So no, i don't feel gutted about it. How did you feel when the E39 absolutely kicked the Eclass's ass when the W124 used to rule the world of mid sized executive cars?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
