8 Series BMW E31 - The first gen BMW 8-Series

The BMW 8 Series is a range of grand tourer coupes and convertibles produced by BMW. The 8 Series was introduced in 1990 under the E31 model code and was only available as a two-door coupé. The E31 was discontinued in 1999 due to poor sales. The model range was later reintroduced in 2018 with the second generation, G15 8 Series. It launched in coupé (G15), convertible (G14), and four-door Gran Coupé (G16) body styles, as the successor to the F06/F12/F13 6 Series lineup.
This is something very unusual and I never knew these conversions existed. Very close to the new Sky Top.

@Rolf they didn't exist.

Thanks for clarifying that @Matski. Volac certainly was very creative with his designs. Would have made an interesting concept back in the 90s

I think there was one 'coach builder' that did something based on the 8-er (outside of the well known people like Koenig, and people doing aftermarket cabriolet conversions etc.)... but their name escapes me at the moment.

edit: I was thinking of Sbarro, but it seems I'm mis-remembering.
