BMW at the 2010 Detroit NAIAS

So all the info we got (incl. my source was fooled) was based on a wrong title of the Jacek's photo in the press club? :eusa_doh:

Some bimbo wrote "Director of exterior design BMW Cars" instead of "Exterior designer, BMW 5-series"? What a fiasco!

So BMW Automobiles still do not have design director ... Adrian doing both jobs - being group & BMW Cars design director. Just like Chris had done before Adrian was named BMW Cars design director.

Nice to know everything is as we know it. :D

Didn't ask. We moved onto serious things, like future design, ED, design trends, regulations, etc.. I have to say it again, Anders is really good. I can't wait for a future interview with him.

Why not USA? Why is USA always last?

The engine in the 335d , X5 xDrive35d is the only BMW diesel that is state compliable for the US Market. It is not as simple as it seems just to transplant another BMW diesel in a North American bound car.

That is why BMW have not flooded the US Market with Diesel engines because it is still in the early stages. Making any other of our award winning diesel engines state compliable is not only time consuming because the engines have to be re-engineered for the purpose it is also expensive and currently there is no market for additional BMW Diesel models at the current time.

The X5/X6 4.0d will be for European markets only.
