Reminds me of the X coupe

It seems like something much more important, like for the Dakar, but also as an announcement of something else regarding the XM?

The fact that the design is so real and definitive in its elements, the M4 type grille, the very "production" profile and tail intrigues me even more

I'd hope for Dakar, but I'd bet on Extreme E. For starters, the electronic control systems for the Odyssey 21 are supplied by Cosworth, and the Cosworth logo is clearly visible in the video. The front structure under the body work also matches the Odyssey 21...

I'd also be surprised to see this being for the Dakar given the ongoing tie up between Stefan Quandt's X-Raid team and MINI. I can't imagine BMW would attempt the Dakar without having X-Raid as their primary partner.

The video also states the car has 400kW, the same as the Odyssey 21, and the video also makes a big deal of the 130% banking on the sand dune, which happens to match the maximum gradient as the Odyssey 21.

It certainly looks like BMW chucking a bit of bodywork on the generic Odyssey 21...

BMW...?

It could just be an Odyssey 21 just as a PR stunt for the XM, with them not actually entering anything, but since they've pulled out of Formula E, and don't enter eTCR, this could be their electric motorsport entry. It doesn't make sense to pull this stunt for Dakar when they've (well X-Raid) have already won 6 of the last 10 Dakar's with a conventional car.

I could of course, be entirely wrong.

Thanks, super informative, I wasn't very aware of the "extreme" I saw something here and there and I didn't know what was Odyssey, (I thought it was called the star trek ship), but I see that you have a point, the similarities are there and the category is hot with those brands

Expect more of this across manufacturers. Modules will be culled, merged or reborn as BEVs with different names.

That's poorly worded, a contradictory headline on purpose.

If there will be an iX4, then the X4 will NOT be cancelled, it will only be for sale with a specific powertrain, no X4 ICE version.

The upcoming SUV on the Neue Klasse platform will replace the X4. it will no longer be an X4 but another car.

All your favourite models just reinvented as Ev’s.
not a bad thing as the iX M60 really kicks ass. Bodes well for the i7 and i5 M60’s and the i7 M70.

Yes, the iX4, that is the X4 without ICE, is what I said and that is what its design will change obviously, I do not understand your clarification, since there will be X4 but it will be only EV.

@SCOTT27, That would be the answer to the 8 series Coupe Cabrio?
Yes I am surprised at that. Even though the reports that it’s screwed to the showroom floor are generally for the US Market.

The media makes it out to be everywhere else.
Gran Coupe still outsells both globally. I see a lot of Coupe M8/8 in my travels from Munich to Berlin driven by middle aged men wearing aviator ray-bans. Lives up to its designation as “The Gentleman’s Racer.”

Hope this is that Vision Circular or whatever it's called....
Replacing the i3.

i1 will certainly be very much inspired by the BMW i Vision Circular design & styling ... It is expected to be as iconic as the original i3 (but bigger in size & more practical), and it will also serve as a sole replacement for the classic 1er when its life-cycle finally ends in 2030.

While i2 will eventually replace both the X2 and the 2er Active Tourer ... As a mid-sized BEV sporty crossover.

For the sport-oriented drivers an M-developed iM2 BEV coupe is considered: as a successor to M2 / 3.0 CSL.

The Vision Circular seemed smaller than the i3?

What about the 4er and M4?
