If true, interesting turn. In 2020 and even last year they said Neue Klass will be for everything from BEV to PHEV to ICEV.

So wonder why the change of heart now? Pitiful i4 sales in Q1 perhaps.

What I expect is something special outside the program, the second bespoke, something that would see the light in 2025 worthy of the 50th anniversary, but we'll see if it happens or not

I'm sorry, but who in their right mind would buy this car for $700,000? It's basically just an m4 CSL that's a little bit lighter and a little bit more power with a fancy body kit. There is no way they're going to sell a bunch of these at that price. That's bridging on to hypercar pricing. I don't understand why it's so hard for BMW to make a mid engine car with a six-cylinder BMW power plant and hybrid technology. They could easily push out 700 to 750 horsepower and sell it for $3 00K

Because there is something called „development“ and it is super expensive for such a low volume car. that’s why the z4 made together with toyot. I don’t want to defend them. I would like to see a supercar from BMW, too. they Want to make profit And nor lose money on every unit.

We still don't know what this project will be like, if that is the price estimate, surely there will be something worth it, from the car itself to the fanaticism of 50 wealthy people plus the history and legacy of 50 years, that's paid for and more for the AMG GT black series/gtx/race/I don't know what other acronyms, so we'll have to see, I forgot, they pay up to $300,000 for a G class.....

My point is for that amount of money it should be a much better car than a 4 series with a big engine and a cool body kit. Let's be real here. 700K is a ridiculous amount of money and for that you should be getting something truly special. I'm sure there will be 50 dumb people that will buy it, and I'm sure it'll look pretty cool, but for that money I can't see how it's remotely worth it.

Regarding the earlier discussion about the Neue Klasse.. will there still be an ICE 3 Series on CLAR alongside this model? Would suck to have this G20 gen be the last ICE 3 Series, and especially as BMW's best selling model they can't just switch it to fully electric.
