Hot! BMW AG: What's Next

Yes, some don't know what they're missing and go for the SUV, they're good, but nothing like the sedan.
Seat comfort and ride isolation are a step above in the 7&S but not deal breakingly so if you really like the suv bodyshape.

If they end its life prematurely? Rolls-Royce are left without a car that has done so much for the brand and the customer alike.

They're not talking about ending it's life prematurely. It won't have a successor (according to the article they cite), which given the likelihood it's replacement will be an EV was almost assured anyway. It doesn't mean they won't have a 4 door below the Phantom, it just may not be called the Ghost, in the same was the Wraith replacement was called the Spectre, and it may not be a simple saloon. Kacher suggests it's to avoid conflicting with a future B7, which is interesting as it could imply the B7 will be more than a 7 series trim level.

By your definition, losing sales in a key market like the US in the first quarter of the first full year is a dramatic outcome. Last year actually gave an idea for the first full year of the 7 series. It was available in all markets in the 2nd quarter, but sold less than the S class. S class is 4 years old. Loss of sales is to be expected.
Do I attribute (without knowing for sure), that the EV of the line may have dragged down, due to this "global EV recession"? but that's why I say seeing the behavior of the S-Class and so on is always a good measure of whether it's the car or the market.

The W222 never gave in its market share life cycle to the G11, lower sales over the years, but also the G11 (the latter did not grow), that will be the big difference and point in favor of the G70 in this cycle IMO

Exactly. In 2027-2030 almost every ICE car will have been discontinued as we know it or reborn as an EV with the same or different name.

What will be your comment if 7 series sales in the first full year (in your opinion) decrease compared to 2023? Market preferences? There's always a way out, isn't there?

That would be one of the best things so far in the 21st century, but again it could be a name change, of those that you say, I see the future Ghost as the stately one it is today and that new B7 as the BMW-Ghost 4 doors coupe?, let me dream

You belittle me, I would say it's wrong, plain and simple wrong, because it's his first full year, I'm not as closed-minded as you ;)

Also, we are talking about the figures for the USA, you yourself posted EUROPE where until February it grew quite a bit, I hope you have the figures for the quarter.
BTW, they present the broken down global figures for the quarter? I think it will be soon, right?

What is this? A Mercedes vs BMW thread or something? Some of you folks should stop constantly comparing the two and focus on what’s relevant. If you like a certain brand, that’s fine. Just shut the f#ck up and stop being a troll. No one cares which one is superior or which one sells more cars or not. Looks like something a 15 year old would do.

In any case, I would not go ahead and think that this minimal drop is something bad, the thermometer is to see how the S-Class fared, that is always the measurement with which to compare
That's our report. There is no might. It's not planned. Can't say confirmed until BMW confirms that actually. But for now, there is def no 4 Series. Only i4 Neue Klasse.

Rumours of my demise might be exaggerated.
Woooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about both?
We talked about it a few years ago, the "Ghost SUV" one level below the Cullinan, is that what you mean?
It was obvious that the rumors are unfounded and that the Ghost also continues, it has been a success
